Great manager, felt like i could ask him anything i needed. The owner was the best person i have ever met, truly cares how the staff is doing and so easy to get time off. My parents came into town as a surprise and he gave me the day off. Small commission on some items which were really great items so they sold themselves. If your a floor staff, you fit skates, sell bikes, clean, youre a cashier and a helper in the shop sales. If youre a shop guy you help the floor staff grab heavy things or assist selling bikes, fix bikes, build bikes and scooters, and sharpen skates, and you get no commission but the pay is higher. 

Working at Source for Sports has been a great opportunity for me so far. I only work with a few employees and everyone gets along fabulously! A regular day here is helping customers and u packing new items if there are new shipments in. I’ve learnt a great deal about sales and how to communicate with people in a professional way. I think the hardest part of this job for me was learning the shoe warehouse, it was a little bit complicated for me at first but I caught on pretty quickly. The most enjoyable part is how great the working environment is, super friendly and open to new ideas.

I enjoyed the fast paced and high energy that came with working at a small business, some days it can begin to fall into a lull but knowing how to push through it makes a for gray experience. I believe the small store helped me interact with people in a more personal way helping my communication skills increase making me a positive person

I was a part owner of 4 stores in the buying group " Source for Sports". As well I was part of a national buying group in the apparel division at Source for Sports. This was a great experience working with good people

Sharpening skates and fixing bicycles

I ended up working here as a cleaner for a limited time. The days weren't too bad but there would always be customers comming in and out which made me a little uncomfortable. I am at least happy I got payed for it, just need time getting used to.

I did not enjoy my time at source for sports. The learning curve is difficult as they still use an AS400 and not too willing to help anyone new. My advice is to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

I loved working there becuase I had many friends and overall it was a very casual fun place to work in. But, there was a lack of management and overall hard to contact the owner, and the managers didn't manage us very well.
