Management is not good at all they like to annoy people who stand against them, complain about them. Moreover they even use illegal way to terminate employees. Moreover they do keep eye on employees breaking rules through their surveillance which is illegal in Manitoba. Their  is no privacy over their they keep on watching you, keep on finding way where employees are going to break rule so they can terminate them and have their revenge.If they want to terminate your employment they are going to catch your multiple footage over different time period breaking rules as evidence then they are going to show you your pics where you can't deny. if it happen ask them about oldest footage and why they didn't tell you that time? why they keep on collecting my photos while breaking rules? Actually it is illegal if employer catch someone like that. No any employer can use camera to watch employee breaking rules, his/her performance and productivity etc. Cameras are just to protect their property and any concern related to complains by employee to verify and other stuff like that. South beach casino don't even pay good . mostly people working there have problem from each other regarding race, religion etc..,. I feel there casino is going to close in upcoming few years because it start getting slow probably because of some racist managers and employees. People who work there don't even like to work there because they are using people don't even ask any question while your interview just hire you because people keep on quitting after short period and that's how they need employees.

it’s a job if you’re desperate, better to be earning some sort of income than none I suppose.

if you finish your chart, you’re expected to help others even if they don’t help you in turn, and you’re expected to help out in other areas of the department (lobby, laundry), like you’re being paid extra for that.

management is hard to deal with, especially with the language barriers and the “I’m older so I know better” mentality that the executive housekeeper has.

hardest part of the job is the environment honestly, the work isn’t even bad itself, it’s tolerable when you don’t have to deal with anyone you work with.

Don’t work here unless you’re actually desperate for a job. I only worked here for a month and I couldn’t handle the management. Very condescending, don’t help at all, get mad at you for not doing things meanwhile they stand around doing absolutely nothing. Pretty much useless. It was my first experience serving and it was so stressful because I never got any help, barely any training, and I had a hard time handling tables when I would get tables sat in my section 4 times in a row. Very unorganized. Now I’ve been working at an amazing restaurant with amazing management for a year and a half and I’m an amazing server because I got the proper training and I get help when I need it! Made me realize it’s all about how things are managed forsure.

Very sketchy from the start, I was hired right out of the interview and was told right then and there that they had a high turnover rate but never gave any reasons. Turns out, it’s because its a highly toxic and absolutely tiring place to work at. 

I didn’t make it past my probation period as I was hired as part time with the promise of advancement to full time but they hired others instead. I worked 8 day work weeks, often with over time, as a part time worker. 

You will absolutely be singled out and treated badly if you’re new/don’t know anyone who’s been there long enough. Even if they switched out management, I would never apply here. 

If you're looking for a temporary job just to get by in life and pay your debts then quit once you're in a better situation, you may tolerate and be ok working at SBC. But if you're looking for a career growth or long term job security, this company is not a good place for that. Go somewhere else. Do not waste your time working here. Your co-workers might be fun to work with but at the end of the day, they cannot do anything about your plans in life. Find a place where your skills will be valued and not exploited.

Working at South Beach was at times, challenging.  That is the best over all description that I am legally allowed to speak on. The company requires every employee to sign a non discloser agreement that make my speaking about them in any manner except to give praise. Not to say that working for the company was horrible, but to say,  just like all companies, there are good points and bad points. Depending on which department you work in  and whom manages that department the views of the company can have drastic differences. 

First I must say the servers working here work very hard, over worked and under paid.  Second the upper management in our department is the most unprofessional management I’ve worked with in my life ,  they’re rude, and treats their employees so poorly, they berates them and don’t  care who’s watching , love to put on a show.  There has been many complaints against management in the kitchen and upper management turns a blind eye. THey have no First Nation people working in the kitchen although it’s on a reserve.

Management terrible, manager thought disgraphia wasn’t a real thing, nothing was planned when we all came back from covid for the first time and it was blamed on the employees not management, if you need a job they will hire you faster then any fast food place so tahts it’s one pro, none management staff is pretty nice thought from who I’ve meet

They expect the most out of you for very little in return. Wasted many of my holidays and weekends in this establishment. You basically have to beg someone to be able to take your vacation time when you need it.

-Poor Management

Don’t waste your time. The management is the worst. You’re lucky if you don’t get screamed at by a cheap costumer. They favour the natives that go there way to much and are quick to belittle you. The originization is a mess and lack of communication. They don’t train you and expect because you have experience already that you will just jump right in and know how to work there system.
