What is the best part of working at the company?
Where to start about this dumpster fire of a company. Save yourself a huge headache and dont work for these people. You will be put into the field with no training and no tools. 
The work itself wouldnt be so bad, but some homeowners do not maintain their property and you wilñ still be expected to complete the job quickly and without issue. You will be chased by dogs, yelled at by people who think you are rogers or bell, and the office will NEVER be of any help. They speak to you as if you are stupid and will never actually follow through with promises. Genuinley the worst place ive ever worked, I was with them for oveer a year and was terminated without cause or notification. Left waiting after layoff season and they just deleted my company email account and wouldn't respond to ant calls or email attempts.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The office does not care nor understand what actually goes on in the field.  Warning, dont even bother with this company, you will be left high and dry.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Belittling and unsafe. The office are all old high-school friends and if you arentnpqrt lf the clique, you wont be invited to any staff parties or recieve Christmas bonuses. Basically favourtism all around.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Pushed to complete more jobs every day, to work later and later without adequate tools or training. No communication with office or clients. Treated like dirt.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working at Spy is the amount of involvement and interactions you have with team members, being a medium sized company it is great to be able to make a strong impact consistently.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part is that you are relied on to get things done, no one else is going to complete the work for you.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It is a competitive industry, but the company works hard to help everyone feel valued for the work they do.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working on policies and procedures and helping individuals be more efficient and accomplish company and personal goals.

I worked there about 4 years ago. 1st off 1 day befor payday the owner called me trying convince me i agreed to a lower wage. 2nd. You were expected to travel and be gone for three days and the only compensation you got was 20 dollars for diner. Good luck finding a decent meal for 20 dollars. 3rd they only pay one way travel which sucks when your over 3 hours from home and not getting paid. And finally  was told by management that we get paid less because we get to live in Muskoka. What B.S is that? This is an expensive area to live in and your suppose to agree to get paid less because we live in a certain area?

I left my job as I was hired on, work about three weeks completely no material, no certain cable for two weeks, no actual tools, no locates, no actual plan daily just find show up do the work, couldn’t take lunches. Management never picked up or was able to get ahold of. To be called in less then 2 mins and told no more work we have to let you go no explanation nothing just a simple two min call.  You barely get training as-well just ridiculous 
What a joke 

I have worked at SPY Communications for 6 years now. I enjoy going to work every day and working in a team setting. Company is all over Ontario with main office in Dwight, ON. Management is hands-on training with open communication-make you feel appreciated. 

Family run
Don't trust the decisions people make in the field unless you're in Huntsville or on a drill.
Only implement changes when everyone starts complaining and ultimately leaves

Just underpaid compared to any other company in the telecom industry. 

No matter wut role ure in, u will be underpaid and unappreciated. 


Absolute dumpster fire. Organization doesn’t exist there since the people in the office work 4 hrs a day on a good day, but then expect you to get these unrealistic quotas with bare minimal pay and equipment that is meant for a kids sand box.  Don’t bother with this place.

this company has grown to 4 times its size in the past 3 years and there are many opportunities within the company for career growth. 

Great benefits and very down to earth people. You definitely get treated like a person and not a number. 


I like that we are not on the same jobsite the whole season, we go to new locations multiple times a day. Travel throughout the day is paid as we go from one job to another.
