As a newcomer to Canada, to the SQM company and also being totally new to the janitorial services field, I find the experience at SQM as an epic one. I was warmly welcomed to work here as a Coordinator, must say that the support and guidance given by the office team and the management for me to settle down was very remarkable. And I am continuing to get the same support to this day. Here at SQM, the management stands by you, listens to your ideas and appreciates your efforts. And good care is taken on our work-life balance. The management allows you to work independently and supports you whenever you encounter an issue. Also, they do not hesitate to provide the staff with hi-tech office equipment which motivates them to contribute more. The colleagues are very friendly and the family-like environment is very refreshing. They pay you really well and good performance is always awarded with increments and other monetary benefits. Year end company get-together is massive and very impressive and the efforts of all teams are getting awarded there. SQM continues to provide me with a profound base to build myself up with ample opportunities to learn. I highly recommend this organization as a place worth working for and growing with.

Being with SQM Janitorial Services Inc. for two years has been quite the journey! What started out as your typical janitorial company has blossomed into so much more, with new services and challenges popping up all the time. I worked as a cleaner within their London, Ontario location doing turnover cleaning. The team overall was extremely supportive of my commitments and ensured that I was provided with a schedule that aligned with what I was looking for. In addition, the pay was good, respective to the work that we were doing. While the role is relatively labour intensive, you are paid a good amount. 

The owners and operators treat their employees like family, and help them grow professionally and personally. 

The annual christmas party is a lot of fun!

When I first started in my admin role, I didn’t have a lot of experience, but I was eager to learn. Every day brought something new, and I made the most of every opportunity to grow. Over time, I became more comfortable with the admin side of things, and that opened the door for me to explore other areas especially finance. I got the chance to support some finance-related tasks, and that really sparked my interest. I’ve learned a lot by just being hands-on and asking questions, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’m excited to keep learning and see where this path takes me.

Always problems with pay. They don't pay what they say they will. This job is intensely physically demanding. Don't do it for less than $25/hr. Even then it's not worth it. You need a team of people. For the contract I had it was the sauble beach public washrooms. It is a 3 person minimum job. I was the only one. I worked 4 months straight no days.off and I was Insane by the end of it. They couldn't find anyone to hire to help me. I put 40k on my car. They wouldn't even pay my gas money to start the first 2 weeks. It's alot of driving. Just don't work for them. Take the contract yourself 

I've been working at SQM Janitorial Services Inc. as an Indoor and Outdoor Machine Repair Technician, and I highly recommend this company. The salary is competitive, and the work environment is incredibly motivating. The management is supportive, and the team culture encourages growth and collaboration. It's a place where hard work is recognized, and there are plenty of opportunities for career development. Overall, it's a great place to work if you're looking for stability and professional growth!

They may be good at warehouse or office cleaning but completely out of their league taking on school contracts. Wanting employees to find and train their own replacements to replace them if their sick or need time off. Unreliable for supplies and management help. Very poor communication skills and put all their wrong doings and lack of knowledge onto their employees. Very unfair for the employees. Willing to toss their own ppl under the bus to save their own negligent hides.
