Overall, my experience at Subaru City fell short of expectations. The failure to honor compensation promises and the lack of effective communication and career development opportunities were significant drawbacks. I hope the company addresses these issues to improve the experience for future employees.

Areas for Improvement:

Compensation Issues: The most critical problem was the unfulfilled promise of a raise after 3 months. The raise never happened, which severely impacted my morale and trust in the company. This lack of follow-through on commitments was a major factor in my decision to leave.

Management Communication: Communication from management was often unclear and lacking in transparency. Expectations and career progression were not well communicated, leading to confusion and frustration. Had to do random tasks that were not part of the job description

Career Development: Opportunities for growth and development were limited, and there was insufficient support for advancing within the company.

Strengths:

Work Environment: The work environment was moderately supportive, and some colleagues were pleasant to work with. However, this was not enough to offset the broader issues I faced.

The best part of working at Subaru City is the friendly team and the exciting cars! It's like being part of a big car-loving family.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part at Subaru City is handling rush hours when lots of customers come in together. It can get pretty busy and fast-paced.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment at Subaru City is friendly and teamwork-oriented. The culture values collaboration and a passion for cars.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The product and customers, Easy and great product, not extensive offer of models, blue collar customers, well educated. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The company, the example of car sales company trying to take advantage of customers all the time 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I didn’t enjoy it, they didn’t really care about staff and / or customers

Working here should be your last resort. Be prepared to be screwed over from beginning to end, you will be gaslighted and manipulated,  do not expect to be paid correctly. This place is miserable and there are better options out there. MANAGEMENT IS INCOMPETENT, BIG FAIL ALL AROUND. They will break the law if they can get away with it.

The management at this place loves to act like your best friend all while stabbing you in the back. Pile tasks on top of you while asking you to take pay cuts. No one there will back you up unless they personally have something to gain from it. A good number of the staff are wonderful people but wouldn’t really give you a penny for any of the managers except the finance manager. 

The service department management is top notch. Believes in continuous training, gives enough authority to perform your job. Always available when needed. Service advising is not always stress free, the manager always stands behind his staff. So few places have managers like this.

I had to leave and move for personal reasons. My time with the company was an enjoyable experience. The work was often stressful, dealt with many customers everyday. Most of the staff were very easy to get along with. There were many processes in place that helped keep me on track. 

very little recognition for a job well done, you give and they then demand much more of you without a thank you. Always a tense atmosphere, can never relax and enjoy the work, different rules for different staff

i was told i would get a raise after 3 months and never got it management was pretty fair they have a coffee machine lol worst part of the job is they only sell cars if the customer has a trade in and they accept everything so some of the cars are pretty bad 

I like the people. I have been treated well. I like the hours of the position and that family time was seen as important. I like that the company tries to show it values its employees with Christmas parties, golf tournaments, lunches, etc.
