As a receptionist, customer service is the most important role.  depending on the shift, you either open or close the spa.  There are phone calls to respond to, as well as customers in person to greet, process payments or create bookings.  Its a great balance between admin work and the social part of customer service.  I have improved my communication and ability to deal with complaints, which was the hardest part for me when I started.  Management was supportive and helped me through with training in techniques that made it easier to best serve customers.  Let's face it, working in a spa is great!  Everyone is happy to be here!  Customers are happy to arrive and even more happy when they leave!  the best part is when you get to know regular customers.  It makes for a great culture when you know lots of the customers, and your co-workers become your best friends.  Sabai Thai Spa is like a big family!  Once you start working and find its a good fit, you don't have to worry about your job, it is busy so there is always lots to do.  Some staff advance to supervisors, trainers or work in the head office.  The wages are pretty good.  There are lots of bonuses and commissions if you are good at returning customers.  Also, the company always pays for parties, bbq's, training.  Usually, everyone gets together outside work hours fro socializing and adventures.

I usually don't write reviews for jobs, but the past year of working at Sabai Thai Spa has taught me that good jobs do exist and must be shared! First of all, the staff is super friendly and supportive. The working environment here is very inclusive and I feel like I fit in very easily because my colleagues are very welcoming. My supervisor is also a supportive leader who treats her employees with respect. I also appreciate the thorough training Sabai Thai Spa provides for every employee which includes both spa training and policy training. The spa is also well-known so we get a lot of clients every day, so I find myself usually busy with up to 5-6 clients per day with an average of 90 minutes of services. There's a lot of room for growth here at the spa because they are willing to provide you training for services you've never done before such as facials (they even bring in an esthetician from Eminence once a month to train the staff!). Aside from training, there's also room for promotion here because I truly feel like everyone is recognized for their hard work. It's a great working environment here and I highly recommend any RMT to work for Sabai Thai Spa because you can earn both reputation and experience while being here.

I have worked here for 6 months. This company has its own culture which is unique! Every coworker treats you as your family. The managers are very cool as well! They always look after you in case you have any problems or issues. They won't ignore it. Plus, this workplace is kind of flexible, so you can have more time for yourself and your family. They have a lot of activities for you (every 3-4 months!) I would recommend to whoever is looking for job in this industry! Great opportunity is here!

My typical day was very busy and fast. We always had a lot of work and sometimes the deadlines were too short. We also always had to hit very high goals, which was difficult. This made the job feel like too much pressure. I learned how to finish tasks quickly and manage my time better. The managers were good and helped me. But the company culture pushed everyone to work very hard. The hardest part was having to always be fast and having so much to do, and trying to reach those hard targets. 

I've been working at Sabai Thai Spa for more than 4 years. This place is like my second home! Management and Executive staff were very helpful and approachable, great staff on all levels. Busy environment. Good pay. Staff takes great pride in their work and the brand. They also give you the opportunity to grow based on your performance and a chance to work in different departments!

Management is horrible and never cared about anyone other than their own culture. Not even close to the level of management that I have been experiencing in my last jobs. For years of working as a Massage Therapist this company( Langley Branch)

I worked for over a year while I was going to school in Vancouver.  It is a great place to meet new friends and learn new things.  Everyone helps each other.  If you like doing massage and facials, the work is easy enough and tips are good too.  I made it to level 4 and the pay made me happy.
