This place needs a lot of work in regards to it's employees. Poor and unprofessional management - they do the bare minimum. This place also has a HUGE communication issue - different people told different things. Some things I wasn't told at all. Barely any training. Disorganized. No communication on what to do & what not to do. Everyone on a different page. Senior employees doing whatever they want. infection control issues, safety issues  .. The list goes on. This place is not being run well. Too many issues.

I’ve had a great experience working here as an CCA, LPN and RN. The team is supportive, and management is approachable, which makes a real difference. Caring for elderly patients, especially those with dementia, is challenging but very rewarding. The orientation was thorough, and there’s a genuine focus on quality care and professional growth. Highly recommend for anyone passionate about long-term care. 

I wouldn't recommend working here. Not only are you bullied by your co-worker's and everyone refuses to help you when you're new, but management will also bully you. I worked here for a year and would frequently have anxiety or panic attacks before heading into a shift. Management and supervisors will belittle and intimidate you. Zero support. Very scary place to work.

Working at St. Vincent's was a wonderful experience. The leadership team is like none other. They are supportive and encouraging, and always there when needed. They do so much, with so little, and every manager there truly cares about the staff and the residents. 

Not a professional place to work.  Poor management and lots of favouritism.  Would not recommend if you always want to work short.  Sadly, I used to love this place but saw too many things happen that went un noticed and dealt with.

I enjoyed working here on Sat and Sun 9-9.  Winter storms, fills ins, etc....

I filled in for employees who could not make it to work in the winter storms, etc...or sick....

Worked for all departments in Administration, all units, etc...

each day is filled with something new and exciting, love my coworkers and manager. the most enjoyable part of a work day is working with the elderly

Most of the time I enjoyed working with staff and clients. Management could use some improvements and they need more resources. I learned how to communicate well with clients and family.

Great place to work.  Just looking for a change. Great clients to work with. Good team work and good shifts for LPN's. Free parking for staff as well!

SVNH is a wonderful place to work. Staff truly cares about resident & family-centred care and it shows. I am happy to go into work most of the time. Can’t say enough good things.
