Salad Bar

A typical day at work is serving customers, cleaning the deli and prepping all meats and cheese for the following day. I love the people I work with. I think it's a great place to meet people and learn from a lot of different cultures. It's also nice to help the people that come in the store. The management is very good. All the managers are amazingly kind and will help you with whatever you need to make your job there enjoyable. I've learned a lot of different traits from several people who work there and have helped me over the past few months.

The managers aren’t nice and there is a lot of work place bullying and they’re cutting my hours to 8 a week

The environment and culture is great the managers are the bad part 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A 4-8 hour shift mostly being bullied by the produce manager

Salad Bar: Wash, Cut fruits and vegetables in to platters, label them, and put them in display.
Floral Assistant: Clear out expired flower bouquets, clean the displays, change water for the flower buckets, and put new flower bouquets back in.

I enjoyed this job all around. Hours were good, management was nice. I enjoyed being able to work alone in the salad bar and with others in Produce, it was a perfect mix.  Co workers were fantastic, I enjoyed going to work.

solid student job for first time. easy to book time off, however its minimum wage and unionized. Its very difficult to advance in this department based on work ethic and dedication. Seniority decides who will be promoted

Fun to work with coworkers in a clean nice environment. I love that the management understood when I needed time off, the hardest part of the job is probably Holidays when it is necessary to cut lots of fruit.

Produce manager is difficult to work with, expects his employees to follow the book but doesn't do so himself. Overall 5.5/10 experience. The Zehrs is filled with great souls that made it easier to go into work.

I worked here for a little over a year. It was good for part-time hours and a fun, lively atmosphere.

There were lots of opportunities to work in different sections, make friends, staff parties, etc.

I was responsible for making a certain portion of each salad and also training new employees. Worked there almost 10 years and met a lot of very nice people.
