This a great place to work.  The atmosphere here is positive, workers are really friendly and have patience for new employees learning their job.  Almost every month there is a free lunch with some sort of theme to it (i.e wacky t-shirt day).  There is a ping-pong table where employees can play.  They even hold ping-pong tournaments and the winner wins a prize!  
The wage is decent, easy access using TTC (2 bus routes you can use), there is plenty of work and overtime if you choose to work it, the company is up to date on their healthy safety initiative and the President comes down almost every morning to greet each worker personally.

It's not a happy place to work. Not a place to demonstrate your true potential and skills

Toxic environment and management.

Unskilled people leading certin departments with very little knowledge or any,terrible interpersonal skills.

Work can be challenging and interesting but at the end of the day you are stressed because environment unhealthy

Some nice coworkers and learning new things.

You're on candid camera — for safety and peace of mind.  On the other hand...

Clean, spacious shop with a fast-paced work environment. Ownership is very engaged with employees."

The job calls for really precise work and little room for error.

Typical daily work schedule involved:
1.Check the deadline and make the brief schedule
2.Discuss the schedule and start design through CAD

Management:
1.Low efficiency in management &planning
2. Sales department given easy promise to customer yet cannot handle the product within deadline
3. Previous delivery delay affects following job

Hardest part
Rushing the impossible deadline

Consistently growing over the time I have been here.  Decision making on addressing urgent issues are prompt and clear.  Recognition for hard workers and those who go beyond is often.  They have a system to share with everyone those who get recognized by their peers and supervisors.  Company events and team building time is encouraged throughout the company.

Great place to work at, friendly and welcoming environment plus lots of large scale BBQs during the summer time. Would recommend to anyone who has a background or has any interest in becoming a mechanist.

Samco is a good place to learn. The people I worked with are amazing in the Welding area. The Welding supervisor is a person who knows how to value humans. It sad samco doesn't want to pay proper wages but the company is an alright place. I wish they had a pension plan for long term people.
