What is the best part of working at the company?
Working as a responsible supervisor gave me a sense of gaining more skills such as decision-making, critical thinking, teamwork , positivity and confidence.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
As a supervisor level of responsibility is high. Sometime making decision is very difficult .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment and culture is so positive and friendly.

Warehouse ran efficiently with excellent management on their end.  However , “inside” management is a very different story. Very old fashioned and not open to new ideas or concepts.  Run by a drill Sargent. Potential to be a great environment with some swift restructuring, modernization and retraining.

Originally I was only to help get luggage from the shelves, make displays and help carry-out luggage to customer cars. Then by watching the manager talk with customers about the products, I started to pick up on a lot of what he was saying and use it to sell luggage as well. 

Daily duties:
cleaned shop front and displays, handled cash and card transactions, dealt with customer queries, handled customer complaints and dealt with damaged goods and followed warranty procedures

Work hours were great. Company benefits such as a yearly warehouse sale was awesome. Negative work environment. Incompetent manager that treated us like children… but I think she’s retired, so you should be good. 

The Samsonite Canada team is fun and collaborative. Work/life balance is more than fair. Great perks within the company. Empowering management, with motivation for growth. 

Complete store activities like store ambiances maintenance,cashing,staff training,reporting.

Known about luggage industries.

Nice team members.

Different field to work learned a lot.

Really awesome coworkers - we collaborate on projects and respect each other's idea's and thoughts.  An excellent tight-knit culture for such a large corporate company.

Though I'm no longer with the company, looking back, this was probably my favourite job. I was one of many second generation employees, and we got along great.
