What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It isn’t stressful unless you count all the free work that is expected from you. You’re considered a contractor and not an employee so they don’t have to hire an accountant 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We don’t associate with the other contractors.  We don’t even know any other’s schedule either. We were offered last Xmas to come to the office for a cookie. That’s was our gift

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We are to be all set up ready to work by the time they start   paying us.  Safeway takes about 30 minutes to set up and this is without compensation. We are expected to work until our pay stops at the end of our shift, then we take our display down, pay for the products and return all the unused  products to the shelves along as well as dumping open products on our own time, unpaid. Also there is paperwork that has to be completed online. For every 2 products demoed, it takes 10-15 min and this is also unpaid. By this time $20 an hour doesn’t sound so good, does it?

The typical work day began upon arrival at the designated location at which time communication took place with the store Assistant manager and set up location agreed upon.  Each location had a different product to market which required time to learn about and develop a degree of literacy to market .  Each venue had its own client dependent upon location with a differing culture in each. The hardest part of the job was arriving with all the needed equipment for the days work.  It was enjoyable work communication with each prospective client was interesting and a growing experience with each adding to the next.   Management was always willing to address any outstanding issues or concerns.

SARA Consulting is a family owned company based out of Edmonton.  The owners/manager/staff are fantastic to deal with.  The only downside is that you never know when you will work again.  There aren't many demo jobs where I live, maybe only 5 or 6 a month, and unfortunately, SARA hired a ton of staff at the beginning of the year, anticipating a lot of upcoming work; which never did happen.  So now we are all climbing over each other trying to get the few demo shifts available to us.  I think some of us go a month or two with no work at all. 

Customer are the upscale and downscale of the business.  They decide what they like and what they dislike.  Their opinion is the intrigue of each management, if ever they want a certain product to be introduce and have it killed - if it flank reviews and consumers do not take or make used of it; manufacturers should find another location where they can be more acceptable within the community.

Promote the product and advertise - so the customers has literacy of its usefulness.

This company engages a very meaningful cause which provides real information for customers and help to enlarge business for the brand and stores. But I still think that it lack effect management and necessary employee training. They should do a much much better job beyond sampling. They could be an aid to the store and a tie connecting with the customers. IT should be an independent business that write their own chapters in their work life. 
I would like to make contributions to them to build a better life for our customers.

This was a fun place to work, you controlled your shifts and locations
The management were excellent at providing required paperwork for location and products.
If I hadn't moved after my husband passed away (to be closer to family) I would probably still be working for Sara Consulting

The less I say the better but there were pros and cons here. I liked the work but the owner and one office staff there were extremely nasty. Snarling at ambassadors when giving cheques..To the point of me leaving. I didnt renew my contract with them as they tried it as a forced issue and blamed me for other people's errors in my area. But for the first year they were ok.

it is fun doing it but it does need an excellent healthy fit physical functional body to do hours as demostrator.  excellent for extra $$$ need on spending for unexpected expenses.

I have experience to retain 3000 files in Records Information environment  at Government Archive office.
I also have direct customer services for sales promotion, approaching nearly 100 - 200 people every events in grocery stores.

The ability to accept work or decline as necessary to obtain a good work/life balance is a positive at this company.  The opportunity exists to meet many people from varying backgrounds.
