Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre

I volunteered at the Saskatoon food bank and learning center on two different summers. I found it to be a great place to volunteer with a very friendly staff and management. They were always helpful and understanding and I would recommend the food bank to anyone. Each day brought different people and challenges, however it never got overwhelming and out of hand because of the ingrained efficiency of the workplace culture.

I really like to get to know people and help them in anyway I can, observing and answering questions is the best way to get to know somebody's needs.
Most of my life I have read Stephen king's books, and I know I have a good understanding of the worlds and the kinds o people that are in it.
weird thing is post but its true, Stephen King is a genius like George R. R. Martin.

I can't say enough good things about working here. It's a great work environment and they are so welcoming. The culture is positive and upbeat and real. Such a wonderful place to work and working with so many organizations and businesses to help feed Saskatoon. Definitely feel some sense of accomplishment and giving back working here!

Working there has been hard, but the staff show appreciation and support for all the work done. The management is willing to help out whenever possible. When I make a mistake, I am told about it in a gentle, but serious manner. Overall, a great place to work at and you feel accomplished working there. 

Its n incredible experience to work at Saskatoon Food bank and learNi center. You git a chance to do some thing for community while earning. Great people always there to help everyone 

This was a fun place to work. Maintaining the garden, setting up new areas to grow food, and good people to work with made it so easy to do. Meeting volunteers and learning about different business that donate are interesting too.

Work placement through Partners in Employment for six weeks.  Not the type of work that I would normally do.  Good rapport with the other volunteers and the staff were very good with their daily information.

Very busy place to work at.Had fun working there and the people are nice this was just a work experience program so i did gain lots of experienced there and got to know some wonderful people there .

I had a blast learning customer service. The Saskatoon food bank gave plenty to the community without asking much in return. My time with them was exceptional and built my love for community service.

learning lots, like how to deal with public speaking and how to operate a forklift safely. lots to do and learn and meet new people and hear their stories from the community
