The day would start by receiving flyers and newspapers in front of the house in separate bags. The flyers were to be placed and sorted into  the newspaper in a timely manner. The job was to deliver these newspapers door to door to the designated location, which consisted of  approximately 150 houses three times a week. By the end of the first few weeks, I had learned how to efficiently organize flyers in a manner that would fit inside the newspaper. With the help and support of my family members, it made the job a lot easier. The hardest part of this job was when there were too many flyers given which resulted in an overflow in the newspaper. The most enjoyable part of the job was going door to door and delivering the newspapers because this allowed me to communicate with my members of my neighbourhood.

Working as a carrier for Scarborough Mirror, requires you to invest a day the week (Thursday), to deliver their flyers to a specific neighborhood. Thought this job is very easy and has little hours, it has taught me how to connect with my neighbors, and manage my time so that I deliver the flyers on time. The company delivers a bunch of flyers to my home, then I must sort it out and deliver them within a reasonable time. This job lets you work at your own pace, as you can deliver at any time but before 7 pm. Unfortunately, the company does not give me enough flyers, or they are damaged.

Every Wednesday, I would receive flyers and assort them altogether and on Thursday when I would receive the newspapers i would put all the flyers that I have sorted out, I assemble the flyers together and insert them into the newspapers. Once that was finished, I would walk and visit 2 neighborhoods and deliver the newspapers to the houses. What I have gained during this job is making my time-management skill stronger and also to gain my responsibility skills. The hardest part of the job was going back to my house to pick up more newspapers when I would run out on my delivery, since there wasn't much space in my cart.

A great way to earn money, and some exercise.  The salary is a bit low, but thinking the time for the task for each week it's very worth it.  You start off, by examining packages to see if you have the right amount or if any contents are missing, if everything is fine you unwrap them and carry each flyer deliver them door to door.  Upon finishing you call a completion hotline to let them know you have finished the task.  Some benefits this job contains are Monthly contests and the balance of work and personal life.  Very great for people starting off or looking for an extra way of earning money.

The job is temporary. I only work with the Scarborough Mirror for pocket money. It's not worth it. A typical day at work is very difficult because I cannot handle alot of papers for a little of money and I'd still have to deliver even if there's bad weather condition. I have no coworkers I work by myself. The hardest part of the job is assembling the newspapers because they give you  load of flyers which takes hours to put together. There is no enjoyable part of the job.

Coming home from school and quickly organizing over 100 newspapers in a short amount of time. Learned how to work fast on the job and gained workmanship knowledge on what working is actually like for the first time. Co-worker(s) were fun to be with and very helpful. Hardest part of the job was making all the newspapers on a heavy loaded day. Most enjoyable part of the job was accepting tips from neighbours.

I was given a job from this establishment as a newspaper carrier and it was really stressful because it took 4 hours in any weather, sometimes 6 hours if pouring rain, to deliver all the newspapers to 80+ houses which you had to package all yourself. This was particularly stressful for a twelve-year-old. But the money was okay for a twelve-year-old. 6 / 10 would not do again.

I would begin by placing each flyer into a newspaper continuously until the desired amount is reached in order to provide them to houses.  I would then go visit the houses and place the newspaper in their mailbox or front step (depending on which house prefers where they would like the newspaper)

its a great way for parents to teach kids that its super hard to earn your own money all on your own, this job was supposed to be something i do after school and earn a bit of money but it really turned out to be quite stressful. Even as a teenager this job was harder then it should have been, the pay is laughable for the amount of work you do. overall, not a good experience.

My job at scarborough mirror was something I did together with my whole family. My 3 you ger siblings were actively inbolved in the deleveries. My parents took turns driving us on our routes at first but as winter arrived our father took on the task alone. Being able to make my own hours taught me how to properly manage my time in order to get the job done quickly but well.
