This place is a growing company that values its employees, and considers them for new positions and allows for some growth. However, short-sightedness from both the owner and operators stagnate this workplace from the opportunity it has to grow. A poor working culture here also allows for people's worst to be brought out of themselves, and supervisors and office staff often openly criticise the work ethic and value of staff creating a toxic and judgemental environment that breeds unnecessary competitiveness and distrust amongst staff. Keep your head down do your work and this job will be a tolerable and reliable source of hours if you need full-time work.

- The managers are incompetent and spiteful, they don’t care about their employees and treat them like dog water. They try to screw around with their employees human rights.

- A lot of workplace politics (like any other workplace) and constant drama. There is a lack of professionalism and a lot of fraternizing.

- Favouritism and unfair treatment in the workplace towards certain racial/ethnic groups.

- Most employees here cannot speak fluent English which makes it difficult to communicate and work as a team.

- Lack of structure and high turnover rates.

- They do not value or appreciate their employees, burn them out and there is no room for advancement.

- Lack of flexibility with work/life balance.

Preparing food for the airline. Learned to work as a team to get the job done. Learned how to communicate with others. Preparing food and products to be delivered to the airline companies. Prepare and cut the cheese and meat and packaged them into sandwiches and deliver it to the airport. 
Dealing with managers was really hard, as they were telling you different things and they weren't communicating well with each other.
The salary was not the best in the industry and they should work on that and also the benefits. 

It was enjoyable to work with people who you become friends with and enjoy working together as a team.

The team at Scarlett House are great people to work with. My team slowly became like family, great communication and got along very well. Upper Management is also great, President and managers care to get to know you and treat you as a valuable employee. They work with you to set and achieve goals. There is always room for growth in the company, they like to hire within. Scarlett House is a great company who genuinely cares about their employees.

Scarlett House is a great company to work for especially for growth and development. The managers are very hands on and team oriented. The culture is positive and  even though it can get busy on some days, the people we work with makes work fun and enjoyable everyday! Even though we work in a cold environment, the team is very warm and welcoming. I love my job at Scarlett House and the people i work with!

it was overall a good working place for students as they have better work opportunities and no one is bored by working there because they have various kinds of works and duties are shuffled. I liked working there as both the coworkers and the management were very polite , friendly and understanding.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Hourly rate of pay was good, and free coffee 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Travel distance, and refrigerated environment, if you're not good with cold working environment, try a different place 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Meh, mediocre , average, not a lot of support given

Working at Scarlett House was always interesting. There was a lot of repetitive work involved. A typical day was moving trays of bread to one fridge to another. Once inside, employees would have to dress the bread with meal, cheese and other toppings. After all the sandwiches were made, then we would have to wrap and tag each one.

like any serving job it’s tough. super long hours, into the AMs. However in my experience I love my coworkers. Upper management can be unnecessarily stressful and need to take stress management courses to learn how to cope. 

The company as a whole has so much potential but that potential is thwarted by the Ownership/Upper Management. Their short sited goals and objectives of the business and employees will ultimately be their downfall.

The production employees are some of the best that I have ever worked with.
