When I was hired at Sears (Sears Home Services to be exact), I was really excited in that it was, for all intents and purposes, an INSTITUTION.

Shortly after being hired, I realized how wrong I was.

The Management did not care about their employees. The previous Operations & Customer Service Manager was a complete B! She provided no direction and what was needed and expected, only to come review time and NOT get a salary increase because goals were not met. No matter how many times we asked for this exact same guidance, we were not advised.

Then a new Operations & Customer Service Manager was hired, which was great, and he was good...however the company then decided to cancel that position and roll everything up to the District Manager.

Thing is...there was a time of almost 6-8 months where we DID NOT have a District Manager. The previous person in this position quit and we were under the understanding that they were going to replace this person with the incumbent Operations and Customer Service Manager and voila...they don't. 

This company is in major trouble...they don't know their back end from their head...serious.

Infact, when they lay you off, they don't even pay you out a severance. They use a "working" severance model. Bunk, right? You got it.

I DO NOT recommend working here...at all!!!!

Selling equipment warranties to customers on the phone required tact and discretion as well as patience. 
Interacting with many people from diverse cultures teaches you that we are all busy people with lives and you need to respect each other.
Typically day started with supervisor giving out assigned geographic areas and call lists with potential buyers and specific offers.
Hardest part of the job is getting refusal to talk and greeting already annoyed customers being interrupted in daily life.
The most enjoyable part was speaking to someone who appreciated the services being offered.
Workplace culture was diverse ethnic groups and a family feeling.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Sears provided Excellent service,Great Customer & quality  I put out a lot of fires!! I have many awards and I loved my job to work also with a great Team!!We had great manager,s Thank You!!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
We never had stress when the job is done right and lots of back up in all areas.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They are the best Company I have ever worked for!!!

•	Dramatically increased sales revenue by 100% after developing a tailored sales pitch for each unique client type.
•	Responsible for maintenance of work trucks for daily services and completing duct/carpet/upholstery cleaning.
•	Implemented stringent safety protocols while working alone on house calls to ensure customer satisfaction.

If you were willing to put in long hours and learn how to build a business this was the an excellent place to work. The potential of earning great money was there. I received wonderful mentoring and the had the opportunity to mentor others.

Fast-paced culture with emphasis on innovation and process improvement.  Emphasizes improving processes and innovating, amidst a culture that is fast-paced. 

A typical day was booking at least 6 appointments per shift.I learned working as part of a team.Managment was fairly well run.The culture was fairly laid back.The hardest part of the job was signing people up. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with others.

A typical day of work is always learning something new and achieving your personal goals while helping the customers and your co-workers as much as possible.

Great co-workers, but the overall system was flawed. Management was a times very caring and compassionate but other times cold and cruel, being a sensitive person was not an option!

All areas of office worked well, professionally .  Had the opportunity  to voice concerns with all areas of management . 
Contractors hired, part of a team to have me it a sucess.
Unfortunately ,  sears closed down the offices.
