Serv-A-Yard is an exciting place to work. In the time I have been here I have seen this company moving forward by leaps and bounds, from lots of newer equipment including state-of-the-art remote-controlled mower, to the focus on safety, including placing among the top 10 recipients of the Ontario Small Businesses Safety Award. 

As always, there may be bumps in the road, but as a whole any growing pains that may come along are more than worth it.

Too many people think they are the boss too many so called working Supervisors that are lazy or feel intitled the long time people think they know it all when they don't,they favor people if they don't like u they avoiding font offer any help like teenagers the drama is unbelievable the office people could be replaced with toddlers not enough management skills or knowledge at this company

It does not matter what type of employee you are or how much quality you put out. Management picks favorites, if you are not one of them you will never get ahead here. 
You are told to bring any concerns up to the chain of command, yet when you do they will all gang up on you and lie to you.
The bonus they promise very few people actually receive as they will find a way to not pay it. 


My only regret is not coming here sooner.  Great team environment with superb problem solving and team collaboration.  It is a company looking to grow and in the midst of hiring great people.  Don't let any preconceived notions about how you think a landscaping or grounds maintenance firm operates - this is a progressive and forward thinking company that will pleasantly surprise you with a great career!

This company has been a joy to work at.  They care about their employees and work hard to try and reward and recognize good and safe work.  Health & Safety is taken seriously and they are growing their team to make sure initiatives are followed through on.  Compensation is more than fair for the industry and expectations are high.  Quality is non-negotiable.  I am challenged daily and find the work interesting. 

Of all the green industry jobs I have had, without a doubt the most progressive and relaxed environment I have ever been in.  If you are collaborative, work hard and build trust, you will succeed here.  Work-life balance is second to none; what green industry job can you find with weekends off during the green season???  Such is the norm at Serv-A-Yard.....

Management, organization, being promised things that never come true 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful, back stabbing, can’t trust anyone there, always have to watch what you say

This organization is one of the worst places of employment that I have experienced in my years of work. Lack of training and being bullied by management does not give an employee the feeling of security or trust within the organization. 
Management clearly feels they are above all others.

This job is ecclectic & versatile. They treat their workers very fairly. They do their best to help you succeed in whatever role works best & are very accommodating, within reason. The crew leads/managment are great people & it's an all around great work enviroment for those willing to work 

I feel like I am contributing to the company yet challenged enough in my work. A great group of people to work with, positive feedback and positive energy. A growing, progressive company looking to continue to build a collaborative team.
