I've had about 6 jobs all throughout my highschool and university days and by far Shack Shine was the best to work at. The people you work with are great and they treat you well, always felt like being a part of the team. What I loved most about it is you always worked alongside of someone else and the company believes in trailing the right people for the job. By my 3rd month working as a technician, I became a lead technician driving the van and performing more duties which meant more pay. If you work hard and are meticulous it is easy to move up in the company. Plus every monday morning we got free breakfasts to start the week.

The team culture is incredible!

I have never been part of a company where everyone seems to really respect each other.  The team will check in with each other throughout the day to see how everyone is getting on with their jobs.  If someone needs help, other team members will always lend a hand.  

The company does awesome team events every 3 months: paintball, go-karting, axe-throwing, comedy club nights out.  And there are always dinners and board game nights when the time is right in between these larger events.

Did so much work at the call center for barely any pay, we got health benefits but they were very stingy. We would get told by management how important we are to the team but the salary never reflected this. They say they value work-life balance but expect weekends and long hours, especially during busy seasons, they don't plan ahead and hire enough people so the employees are stretched thin trying to keep the business running while also having to pick up the slack of unqualified franchise owners who's customers would call in angry about the bad service.

Having the freedom to train your crew to your work ethic & standards. Providing the best customer care.

Finding qualified individuals for employment. 
Keeping costs down. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was a very positive team experience! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It included hiring & training technician to efficiently clean & detail customers homes. Apply knowledge using known systems. 
Payroll & all management duties. 
Building a positive culture.

 Typical day at shack shine is working 8 hours an then your boss coming on site an up selling another 4-6 hours on top of that an it’s everyday they want upsells, never time for yourself, getting time off is impossible, constantly fixing broken tools or machines instead of just getting new ones an have the same problem in 2 days. The management at Toronto central has no clue what they are doing or how to run a company. Especially Myles I wouldn’t trust that guy with anything. 

Since working for Shack Shine, I have learned a lot about sales, marketing, customer service, working/ leading others, and have made great money through their leads and bonuses. Also weekly we meet for a bbq or breakfast, which is awesome, everyone on the team is super cheerful as well. Further I stay in great shape working here, and see a lot of my city and meet really rich people, who are actually super nice. 

Management don’t really care about you. The fact that this job doesn’t offer benefits is pretty messed up, if you fall off a ladder you are *****  having to pay your expenses out of pocket due to injury.
The risks and pay don’t add up. Better off working at a fast food restaurant to be completely honest. If you’re young and desperately looking for a job I would highly not recommend a job like this, there’s better than this. 

Working at Shack Shine has been a rewarding experience. The company promotes a strong team culture, offers room for personal and professional growth, and truly values its employees. The leadership is supportive, always encouraging us to become the best version of ourselves. I’ve learned a lot about consistency, leadership, and delivering exceptional customer service. If you’re looking for a place that balances hard work with a positive environment, Shack Shine is a fantastic choice!

I had an amazing experience with Shack Shine Vancouver. Since beggining the managers were supporting us to reach our own goals, but the company too. Always commited to give customers best service and with lot of bunuses. 
Another great point was the organizacional culture built in the company. Every week going to have dinners and lunchs on beachs, travelling. 
Easy to talk to our managers, always being close to support us.

Nothing was good except the wage. And that was paid by work subsidies

The hazardous area like steep roofs I had to power wash 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Worst work culture ever. Most employees and supervisors were from Brazil. Often they speak Portuguese and I never felt included
