I was a lube tech there for almost 4 months before i almost lost my mind. Management has been on my shoulder since day 1 constantly complaining about any mistake i made and never offered any sort of help to prevent mistakes. Had no room to improve and had barely any training as the managers were too busy and so were the other techs. The quick lube department is the worst place to be in this place by far as you are expected to clean up after the techs and yourself, be the managers's dog and do work that doesnt fit the description. Work flow is okay, i worked 10 hrs a day with 1 hour lunch and it was pretty much rinse and repeat every day. Something id love to say is that if your planning to be a lube tech here, do a complete 180, nevermind the fact that lube techs arent respected here but neither are the auto techs. Auto techs are 90 percent of the time working on warranty and lube techs are being slaved with oil changes/tires and even the auto techs have to do them sometimes too because their quick lube department is not big enough. Saw 5 guys quit in 1 month and heard from many other techs here that they are not happy with their work. This is where people that want to get a good start in the industry go to die.

A typical day is 12 hrs long 
Learned a lot about vehicles and the correct questions to help tech better diagnose mechanical issues
Management at that time was horrible and gave no guidance or opportunity to grow. 
Culture at that time was horrible. 
Managements pressure to lie to customers to make sales was the hardest part. 
The Techs are great honest people that know their stuff! Very patient and are willing to talk you through things to better help the customer understand the repair work.

Managers are no good. Always distroute. Always to busy. New hires are average one a week easy. No long term employees except management. Variable pay 28hr for most work. 34hr for low hour warranty jobs. Most guys don't average 8 hours working 9-10 flat rate. Techs get blamed for simple things that are service advisors  ,lot attendants jobs first like parking cars or confirming vins. No warranty writer have to look up and complete all paper work as flat rate tech. Started as lube tech made redseal. Seen every employee come and go in this time. 

fast paced atmosphere where job dedication and punctuality is a must. place is always busy and has good customer retention as all 3 techs remained working usually at all times of year. in house training is performed on line. must have own tools and box. jobs are paid flat rate to journeyman on a tier system which dictates the type of job and how it will be paid. a good tech will average 10hrs per day.

Great place to work and learn, very adamant of their employees having the training needed to succeed in this industry. management was awesome and rewarded the employees for a job well done and succeeding at the goals set out by General Motors. allowed many opportunities for advancement as in moving from a mechanic to shop foreman, and even Service Manager, most the guys I worked with have moved on to become great Foreman and Managers at different locations within the Group of companies

Management was lacking in the sales department. The fleet managers andy drever and don mason knew there stuff. The new car sales managers didnt know what they were doing constant changing of procedures that were getting hard to remember. The receptionist was a bit snippy at times. Overall the few people I worked with were amazing (lot attendents)

It was very satisfying working there as the learning potential was always there , the staff was always curtious and a consumer driven company, the hardest part of my job was repairing conventional frames , the most enjoyable part was seeing a happy a happy customer with the results from what we the company have provided to them.

I got along really well with the vast majority of my co-workers, and had a lot of fun with them at work on an average day. It was a great job that I wish I still had.

This was a great place to work, the hours were great and it was easy to get too.  There were lots of staff get togethers for special times of the year.

I never found myself apart of a team there. Always worked with alone, with no interaction with anyone. Trying to get a hold of managment was a hard task. As well, there was no training for further tasks asked to complete
