When I interviewed here, I specifically said "I want a work family. A place where if someone gets a promotion we are excited for them." and that's exactly was I got. When our team needs help we volunteer instead of being asked. In any instance where I've felt uncomfortable, when I speak up about it I feel that my concerns are understood and remedied. Yes, we work hard here. But we are still very understanding when situations arise as we all know what it's like to have life happen. Also as someone with a disability, I find the management team very accommodating and understanding.

The support services and recreation staff work really hard to care for the residents. The families of the residents are amazing. High staff turnover. Current care staffing levels are similar to staff-to-resident ratios in subsidized care (families would be surprised to learn this fact). Despite making Respectful Workplace training mandatory for all, staff don't feel safe to take their concerns to upper management because that's where the disrespect originates in the organization. The people at the top of the management pyramid create an incredibly toxic workplace.

Not a safe place to talk feelings and little support for heavy ...there is high levels of favouritism and gossip. This used to be a great place and due to turnover in management it is not

A great place to work at, I have thoroughly enjoyed my many years at SACR. Work life balance is acknowledged and they are flexible with your schedule at times when things arise within your life. The management has an op3n door policy and make it easy to bring concerns forward or just pop in to say hi! 

greatest boss ever. greatest staff. and the residents were a treat. miss you guys! I set the bar for the Dietary Aide position there because I worked somewhere that I was proud to do a service for. I worked for the residents and the staff. we were all a team. those people need to receive the best care we can provide. that's why it's called all Care

Overall a great place to work!  All of staff are amazing and really make everyone feel welcome. The benefit package is awesome with 100% employer paid premiums. Plenty of opportunity for learning and career growth. 

The job is good for nurses in the current healthcare climate with significantly less short-staffing issues and lower acuity of care. There are some issues with management not communicating well with those working on the floor but overall better than the hospital

After working here for 5 years,
I have enjoyed my time here by making all meals “from scratch” cooking. The atmosphere with the people I work with is great and management helps when needed. Great place to work!

All staff are easy to work with and great knowledge to share. Each day, there was plenty of opportunities to share your enthusiasm. I miss working there and if I moved closer I would reapply.
