Sigma Systems

Sigma has a couple of strong products, but selling them to enterprise customers is typically a year or more in terms of the sales cycle. As a Professional Services team member, supporting sales, creating and reviewing project estimates, and forecasting required resources and skill sets comprised a typical day.  Project delivery was also a key component working through project audits, checking on customer satisfaction, and validating projects schedules and revenue forecasts were aligned. 

The most difficult part of the job was being held accountable for things you had very little control over (like revenue).  

The most enjoyable, would be recognition from both customers and the executive teams when Sigma's software was successfully deployed and in-use with new customers.

Good telecom solutions and the ELT is very good and dynamic - but the level below them in Service Delivery is a mixed bag.
Some are extremely good and believe in empowering the SMEs.
Some do not care for quality of work and just want their loyalists under them and completely demotivate those coming up with new ideas.
They deliberately make you do non productive work like Unnecessary meetings etc
Company has good solutions in OSS (and BSS) and Sales team is dynamic.
Domain knowledge and consulting is poor and needs to be improved - sadly no emphasis on this area

A typical day at work includes a lot of internal and customer meetings. Agile development and project planning and as a Technical Account manager, I manage several customer environments which involve the DevOperations and build delivery to the customer. 
Defect fixing and deployments across multiple customer environments.

Its a good gig with wicked smart people.  My challenge thus far is just waiting for something to happen.  Perhaps I am too conditioned to the 70 run as fast as you can week because here it everyone does try to keep a work/life balance.

It's a place to work, if you have to! Very political environment, squeeze as much as possible out of staff. Their India operation is very murky. Having said that, I think there are a few people working there who are technically exceptional, quite literally.

What this company is different from others - family like relations between staff. Excellent work environment. A lot of corporate events. Very friendly management.

A typical day of work involves direct conversation with several customer in different languages to understand their needs a to follow up on requirements that will make their clients feel valued

Sigma is good and fun at work place.
Work life balance is good.

Recently, Sigma is facing issue in getting North/South America project so the employees in these region faces some uncertainty.

The company has good culture. You won't see pressure in the culture. The employee has flexible working time. The dev team can work from home. The pay is average or more than that.
