Typical day at work:
- Gather all equipment necessary for varsity games
- Set up equipment and work cooperatively with other employees
- Gather statistical information on both female and male varsity games
- Take sports based action photos with a high resolution camera
- Take down equipment and return facility to its original state
- Send statistics to the OCAA athletics board

What I learned:
- I learned how to manage conflict when statistics were incorrect
- I learned how to adapt to a fast paced environment
- l learned how to properly record statistical infromation
- I learned how to work well with others
- I learned how to operate a high resolution camera while taking action photos of the athletes
- How to successfully motivated and excite a crowd through being the mascot

Hardest Part of the Job:
- Getting the correct statistics is very difficult because varsity games are extremely fast paced

During tutor sessions I would assist and support students in specific courses. Utilizing the equipment at the school to help clarify labs, and explain theory to a diverse group of students. All co-workers were great and supportive especially if special means were required to tutor. The facilities at Sir Sandford Fleming College provided me with access to almost all lab equipment needed to explain and even demonstrate labs to peers. The hardest part of this job was determining how to tutor each student taking into consideration each of their needs, but even though this was the hardest part of the job it was also the most enjoyable part. Since I am driven to challenging myself, this opportunity was excellent at helping me improve my interpersonal skills.

The Manager is absolutely wonderful and accommodates worker's needs. Tutoring is a great position  that allows you to create your own hours of availability and makes you feel like you are making a difference in the lives of your peers who may be struggling with certain topics/subjects during their studies.

Dealing with hundreds of staff and faculty on a daily and weekly basis.
Operate computers and copy machines daily to complete work required from many customers.
I learned how to prioritize the work load so that all deadlines are met.
What I enjoyed most was interacting with the people on a daily basis.

As a student worker, the college put my schooling first above my duties so it was easy to manage my workload and schooling. Management within different departments varies based upon availability to your supervisor, assistance and support. The workplace culture was very friendly and inviting.

A typical day was planned to suit my schedule and taught me modern standards and technology. My coworkers where dedicated and passionate about their jobs. I valued their guidance and networking.

The college provided me with a fantastic experience, the equipment and amount of hands on experience we got really taught me alot. What also really helped me was that the teachers really took their time to show me how a shop really runs and how to operate all the different machines in the shop.

A typical day would be to work with people and to try and make their lives much more manageable for them in their current situations they endure daily.

loved teaching the students and watching them learn new things. As for the overall job I found it hard in the last year because some of the people didn't have the drive to make sure students made it in the work force they were there to learn.

Interacting with students daily, non repetitive work days, each day there was something new to accomplish. The day time staff is extremely pleasant to deal with. The job is about building a community within the residence.
