Easily one of the most disorganized companies I’ve ever worked for on a major project. 
Their senior management either doesn’t care what’s going on, or doesn’t know what’s going at the field level. 

Their onsite management team has very little experience with large scale projects and it shows. They promoted unqualified people from within for important positions rather than hiring experienced project managers. 

They claim they have a ton of work and to try and keep you around but, won’t give you any straight answers about where you’re going next or even if they have another project. 

This has caused a revolving door of good people being hired than leaving in a few months due to the disorganization and lack of leadership and accountability.  

There are way better companies out there to work for with less stress. 

The good:
When there is work they keep you busy, most coworkers are nice people, steady weekly pay, good swag and safety raffles

The bad:
Once a project is over they keep you hanging high and dry despite claiming there is a lot of year round work, no layoff notice or other communication, clear and obvious favouritism especially with questionable promotions, management not willing to listen to workers, no travel pay unless there are flights covered by the client

The ugly:
Field pay rates are lower than industry average yet they have the money to provide catered lunches to office staff, some foremen cover own incompetence by cracking a whip on workers only to impress higher ups with production

Overall:
Work with them if there are no better options around but don’t count

Company has changed names again because they lost their investor. Probably due toein7g kicked off site at the shutdown for one of the Canadian oil and gas giants.
There were people fighting on the job. Organization was terrible. Material issues. 
No consistent work unless you're part of the good ole boys. It's very easy to become a victim of nepotism when trying to move up in your career here, depending on which crew you work for as the east coast mob rule one of the main crews.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great management and great coworkers and decent pay...and very close to home for me.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
14 days in camp 7 off...but the work is easy...no stress for me

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's good here...everyone gets along and is helpful when it comes to what's being done

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fule up equipment then drive rock truck...easy

Starting out with zero experience in oil and gas industry, I was welcomed and mentored to be competent and safe in the field quickly.  Excellent pay for entry level with every benefit I could think of. Strong safety culture with incentives for contributing suggestions to safety teams. All PPE provided and every tool available. Promotions possible for hard working individuals.

Hard work and long days, spent living in camp away from home, with camp allowance and travel paid.

They have the dumbest policies. And use gps’s that tell them you are speeding when your not. Some good people on the crew’s to work with. The supervisor for the gravel side. Have no idea what he is doing knows nothing about trucks or the industry. Treats you like garbage. And has a tattletale on the crew so you always have to watch your back. Horrible environment and you never know one day to the next if they have work or not. I would give them zero stars if i could.   

My employer prior to them was absolute trash so the bar wasn't set very high. But overal it was an alright place with alright wages, loa and truck rates were a bit low, you don't get loa on long weekends either which sucks for out of province workers and no travel pay if they decided to move you to a different site location hours away. Yet others who were closer friends with the Forman claimed to get paid for relocation.. so who knows 💁

Communication with upper management and clients isn’t great. Timelines for jobs get changed constantly and many coworkers were lied to in order to keep them on to complete jobs. Hiring process was fine however there are some less than professional people in certain trades that really bring the experience down. Camps range from borderline prison to a solid experience depending on your trade year and time with the company. 

Worked with Site Energy Services in the past 2011-2013. Got laid off as work dried up but had a good run. Great people and some of the people back then are still with the company today. Returned to work with Centurion in April 2022 and been tremendous warm welcome back with lots of interesting innovative works. People here are the best you can ever asked for in our industry. 

At this company you are a number, nobody cares about you, upper management are a bunch of spineless backstabbers, as a supervisor it was imperative to always have your conversation in an email. They work you to the bone, make false promises. The money was fantastic, I was paid above scale, didn’t matter though, after 7 years I walked away, mental health was more important than the money.
