I cannot say enough good things about the company. This may seem canned or fake, but i can tell you, i have never worked at a place I've loved more. It's not perfect, and there are cons, like anywhere. But..i work along side with people who are like family. My direct managers care, and are concerned and have actually done the job for a long time. There is a healthy culture of keeping morale high, and a concerted effort to improve. Every day is different, and if you love aviation, you will see and work around aircraft and people you'd never believe. There is a very strong safety program and employees are treated with respect and fairness. There is a lot of encouragement to advance if you are just starting out in aviation, and some good incentives. The people make it worth every day. The work can be very hard, very fast paced and weather and break times can make it extra challenging. Overall, i have never been happier in a job.

Having spent the greatest part of my life in the Service Industry, I find that a typically fun day is that of caring for others needs while enjoying comfortable atmosphere, trusted peers and seniors, while having fun accomplishing the tasks. Finding solutions to situations, solving the problems at hand or oncoming, I am willing to provide the best of knowledge, practices, experience, skills, and at the same time allowing myself the privilege of satisfaction for caring. In the sales world I would be considered the "Farmer" type sales person who values the relationship over the sale. In the Operations world I would be known as a "Fixer" who will work tirelessly until a solution is attained. I love humor,  Life, and love to be of service to others in need. 
What I have learned from life is that personal satisfaction is gained through hard work, humor, and caring for others. The rest of things are simply pluses.......

I start my day with checking messages on my phone and email. I enter the bills into the system (JP Program). Then I start replying to the messages that I have received. I learned about the JP Program which was new to me when I started. I enjoy working with my co-workers as we all get along and help each other when needed. I am very happy with the management as they always support me when I need their help. The hardest part of my job is reconciliations and the most enjoyable part of my job is dealing with the customers and helping them out.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part was that the wage from the company that was bought out was honored.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The lack of personnel, training, and care from management.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unsafe, complacent, lax.
The Linecrew is fed up with lack of qualified be hires and management is there to collect a paycheck.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It could be way too busy, absolutely dead and anywhere in the middle.

My position at Skyservice is a very important one. Making sure updates of manuals and documentation are kept current at all times. Working with aircraft mechanics and Pilot's and handling documentation are a very crucial and safety minded issue. New aircraft coming in was always exciting. 
Trying to make everyone happy was a bit of challenge, but accomplishing by days end.

When I first started here is alright. As time went on you got little training they expected you to know aircraft parts and that. The parts they had were very disorganized. You didn't get credit from management for going out of your way to stay when you covered for someone else. They also don't pay you for extra hours that you work.

They really need to show more support and training for new hires.



Skyservice is a place that rewards its employees but after some time. The co workers are  generally friendly and cooperative and the work culture is warm and peaceful. There are times where employees are expected to stay overtime or go on road trips but that's not often and employees do get compensated for their extra work. Overall, it's a good company to work with.

very customer orientated  making sure all there needs are looked after before there flights as well as when they arrive at our facility.
Most enjoyable part of the job is meeting the customers and make sure all there needs are looked after.

Interesting place to work at, but its not easy going, your lunch, your clock in and out is monitored, you cant look at your phone without getting into trouble even though your work isn't being affected. Management in maintenance hover over you like a micro manager to see what youre doing. No independence.

Use to be really good a year ago, New management has come in and ruined the company. Crewchiefs dont help you and expect you to know everything even as a beginner, in my 2 years there thjey can only manage to keep an employee on average for 6 months before they get fed up and leave.
