What is the best part of working at the company?
The factory floor is filled with great people with a lot of experience and knowledge. It was a pleasure to work with this group.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is constant tension between the management/office staff and the floor/union staff. This is exacerbated by hostile behavior from managers and the owner which tanks moral making managing health and safety a difficult job.

I'm addition, health and safety receives little to no support from managers/ownership, making the position incredibly difficult to manage.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture is poor, which was made worse with the recent strike. Moral is very low as a result of these strikes and the attitudes witnessed by myself and the union staff from their managers.

I work at Slacan Industries as a Quality Assurance Technician for the past 2.5 years. Slacan is one of the best places to work and provides a great growth opportunity for passionate employees. The management has a very friendly relationship with employees and   puts the employees first in all their decisions. The company is also investing into cutting edge technology in production and quality and provides the best training to all the employees. I would love to tell anyone that if you get a job offer from Slacan, you don't need to think twice about it. Also the pay is excellent compared to any other manufacturing firm.

As an office employee, the management is congenial and easy to get along with. One of my best, if not the best experience working with the management team and the sales team in particular. Work and deadlines can be challenging, but that can be said for most companies. Working between departments is smooth and everyone willing to help iron out issues. 

From a sales perspective, I liked the fact the brand enjoys a great reputation in the industry, which made it easier to go through the sales process. 

I worked there for about 5 years and I would still be working there if I did not move away to a different country!



I have been with Slacan for almost 5 years. I take pride in my job and am pleased to support this company. They are good at encouraging you and helping you which makes me want to ‘go the extra mile’ and strive to be better at my job. Management recognizes when I do a good job and I appreciate the acknowledgement. 
The company highly encourages safety training on all equipment. Slacan also provides the right tools to get the job done.
I am happy to see the company make continuous investments and am excited to be part of Slacan’s continuous growth.

This is one of my Favorite places I have worked. They treat their employees very well. Lots of fun extras like Ping Pong and Pac Man to help people feel more relaxed. Management and staff has made me feel very welcomed and appreciated. The environment of the office and the workload makes for a perfect day.

-Management is trying to cultivate a better culture each day
-Hardest part of my job is keeping up with project although it is enjoyable
-Most enjoyable part of my job is seeing new technology brought into the business 

typical work day is what we call "flavor of the day", no direction, which ever customer screams the loudest is who is pleased first. No accountability no team work, departments works against each other.

The most disorganized company where there’s no leadership. The President is useless and has no clue about what’s going on in the company. The turnover is ridiculous, the entire management team has been there less than a year and they’re still resigning. Do yourself a favour and stay far away!

Great place to work. Everyone I've been working for are friendly and always professional and gracious.  Managers and staff have been wonderful to me in my short time I've been there.

This is a good place to work. There are lots of opportunity to learn about new products. Management is trying hard to improve the processes while keeping all long term employees and hired new employees as continual improvement.
