Snug Harbour is one of the places that everyone in Port Credit and Mississauga has heard about and visited. Thats a fantastic thing for the staff simply because there is a constant flow of people coming through their doors, however when it come to the quality of food and the standards of both management and ownership all are seriously lacking. They are very unkind to the majority of the staff with the exception of some of the senior staff who have been there for 10+. As well as this it is a very seasonal work environment with a constant heavy turnover making it impossible to know whether or not you will be severely reduced in the number of shifts you have or not. Overall not the most positive place I have ever worked but they did give me my first opportunity so i'll give them that.

A fast paced environment that offers very strong customer service and great quality food.  As a bartender at Snug Harbour, you must have a positive attitude, be hard working, and be charismatic in order to succeed.  Daily bar duties include, cleaning and opening the bar and closing the bar; ensuring that alcohol and other ingredients are stocked, ensure that kegs are full, and wine is chilled.  Overall, friendly staff and management team, well run  family run restaurant with very hands-on ownership.

CONs':
-Horrible place to work
-Management is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate 
-Owners are really rude and love to micromanage 
-You make decent money in the summer months but the rest of the year there is not much work and you'll be scheduled maybe once or twice a week as a full time employee (the owners also don't allow you to get other serving jobs while working there) 
-They don't care about their employees as much as they do personal profit 
-The owner gives you a hard time if you want to book off any time off in the summer 
-You have to tip out management for doing nothing

PRO's :
-The only pro is that you work by the water
-Some of the staff is nice (sometimes)



- very busy work environment  (up to 3-4h wait times)  - can be stressful/overwhelming at times but there is always something to do - never bored on job
- management is nice and respectful
- good work atmosphere

I learned how to be a very accomplished multi-tasker. Management is very understanding and are flexible in accommodating you. The people there are great and make the high-volume, fast-paced environment much more fun.

Everybody worked well together and I learned how to improve on my customer service skills and time management. I enjoyed where Snug Harbour was located, on the lake, and has amazing views of the water.

Fun and productive in the kitchen and always have something to do, a lot of kitchen staff so you are never under staffed which means there is always someone there to help you

Opening the store and making sure we're calm during the rush hours. It was a diverse, professional yet family friendly business perfect for a summer job.

Having to deal with people in a polite manner. Having a good patience and being able to multi task. answering phone calls, prioritising customers and being friendly.

It started off as a fast paced job but then later became boring. Salary is low and hard to advance plus some of the managers are rude. Save your time and go work someplace else.
