The amount of changes in Management is ridiculous. Mix of vision for where the company is going, it looks like Management is trying to move up at any cost. I asked for training and the result was a Linux Academy account which was to be shared due to licensing / user account constraints. The promotion I was offered during my time here was to do something I had already been doing. Bonuses and raises were cut during my time at this company due to bad financial decisions and goals that were set. Blood, sweat and tears into everything I do and was never recognized financially or given the freedom to work from home without any extra responsibilities. They have no faith in their employees and babysit them. We were expected to pick up all phone calls coming into the NOC and open tickets if needed, regardless of whether it was for a technology you supported. The people are what makes this place worth staying at.

As a software company they are always a step ahead of the usual office setting - this one in particular has been practicing these trends years before they became mainstream. It is a Dog friendly office, there are either ping pong table or Foosball table in the lunch room at our larger offices, annual "Launch" dinner has the entire company in one City to honor employees and let them know whats to come in the next year.
Continuous learning opportunities with courses that help you in your daily job as well as personal life - such as Emotional Intelligence, Color training,  and Project Management to name a few.
The hardest part of the job is the the workload can get pretty heavy and stressful but seeing the finished product and appreciation from employees makes it worth it

Softchoice has two distinct personalities. On one side, it's incredibly competitive, driven and innovative. There's a constant stream of training to help people succeed. It rewards strong performances and has a lot of opportunity for advancement and growth - vertically and laterally.

On the other side, Softchoice has a great, fun culture. With dogs in most offices, paid volunteer time, charity work, a strong Corp Social Responsibility policy and beer cart Fridays, there is definitely a softer side to Softchoice.

People that are successful here are able to balance both sides, recognizing that hard work and a focus on success means you get to appreciate the added perks. The company reinvests in itself and the future looks bright.

This company needs to be changed from top to bottom. They literally pay you at least 50% less than industry standards. They say they care about their people ... THEY DO NOT! They say they invest in development of their employees ... THEY DO NOT. Promotions increments go to those who try hard not to perform but flatter their managers. The management and environment is so rotten that you can smell politics and favoritism on all levels. There is no concept of annual increments you can barely get couple of hundred dollars increment after few years. DON’T waste your time, your energy in this company for a long time. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Remote job gives you ability to flexible work hours .  IT departments is reachable and  supportive if any system issues happening at the time when urgent duties must be performed .  Complicated system but give you a great experience overall.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Poisonous work environment, very unfriendly stuff , management is not supportive at all. HR makes it visible they dare but not helpful. High turnover.

Poisonous unfriendly, no support from management. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Always busy and lots of issues

• Built strong relationships with vendors, customers, and co-workers
• Providing world class customer service 
• Adhering to company policies and carrying out company best practices whilst dealing with customers
• Initiative to expand industry knowledge
• monitor expirations/timelines on customer requests
• Tracking and maintaining renewal opportunities
• Working alongside team lead for various projects including; program towards building customer trust 
• Working with multiple vendors to find best price, availability, alternative solutions/options
• Analysing rejection and open order reports and ensuring the quality of these orders are maintained

Stressful, non-rewarding, barely any training, no clear career path options, Softchoice is more concerned to sell sell sell than to actually take the time to look at the bigger picture of support.

Pay scales are all over the place since the company is not looking for quality engineers but just another head count before more CSAT issues arise. 

Very poor management: lacking of vision and guidance (more concerned with putting out fires than with growth).

What was once a very fun and exciting work environment in KTSC, is now a "how worse can it get ?" type of place. 

I really hope that they get their act together before people start loosing their jobs due to a lack of customer satisfaction +business loss.

Let's put it this way...   I was looking forward to work every day because the manager was down-to-earth , he was very approachable, and with no attitude.  He had an open approach because, if you come into work happy and content, you perform well, with no gloomy attitude.   There are few managers who care about the environment and the employees.  If you have a manager who has a smile every morning, that makes a who difference!

At times, users demands are not within company policies. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fun and a great group of people who knows technology can be challenging but willing to be patient and  work with the I.zt. team.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Attending to support tickets.   Ensuring users are able to login as some forget their login .   Having 20-30 minutes huddle to address critical issues,  then attempt to work on open tickets.

Beware! Do not work for this company for any reason. You will be used and replaced, and bullied by all management. It's a concentration camp in disguise.

I entered this position essentially fresh out of uni in hopes of moving up. However, you get treated like absolute garbage and everyone is afraid to speak up.

They try to advertise all the positives (free lunches, dogs in the building, free beer, etc) but none of it it worth it. The building smells like stale bread (partly because of the dogs but also because it used to be a bakery many years ago) and the pay is not worth the amount of work.

You can tell in everyone's face - no one enjoys working there!
