Typical days at Softron : We start very early in morning and some times find people waiting for us at the office entrance. 

Great team to work with and lot of work pressure to handle, have to fast, accurate & efficient in filing Tax return for individual personal, after all it is matter of money and no one wants to lose there hard earn money.

Interacting with different kinds of people on daily basis. Learn a lot in way of dealing with people with all kind of background and learned to strike a rapo so they will feel at ease in discussing there personal finance matter.

Integrity and Confidentiality is a religion and all were bonded by this Rule.

I worked there for 4 months as an COOP student. They hired a lot of COOP students. 99% tax return  cases are done by students, but managers  lied to customers that they did tax return, not students finished tax return.
Managers are mean and unfriendly to students. Sometimes we have to work 50 hours,no overtime pay. Company let us sign a paper only pay 44hours weekly,the balance 6 hours will pay at the end of COOP time.

- hardest part of the job was the hectic long hours working sometimes even till midnight (12+ hrs in a day)
- The most enjoyable part is interaction with customers and helping them get their refunds

Very good place to learn and have a growth related to canadian taxes. I have learned T1, T2and T3 here. I have also done there course it was also helpful to make in depth knowledge about taxes in canada. If someone want to learn about tax management and how you can save money in taxes please take there course. I believe they have one of the best taxation courses in canada right now and they have there own in house software which is so accurate and customer friendly. 

I am extremely happy to have started my co-op with Softron. Their training was very comprehensive and detailed. I get to gain hands-on experience dealing with clients. The management is very supportive and always ready to help you with any questions. All are experienced tax professionals and the co-op is an excellent opportunity to learn from them.

Pretty good job to learn taxes and communicate with clients. Very interesting job. 

However, the management is horrible. The office manager was disrespectful and did not give me enough work compared to others. I think it depends on the office you get. 

I worked with their marketing team, it was wonderful to work with the team lead and management on projects. Learned so much and was able to use my skills in media development in school on projects. It was a great experience, great workplace environment and nice people. 

It was a good experience to learn about personal and corporate taxes. Went through the training and worked directly with clients in preparing T1 & T2 Returns. Staff was helpful and location to work was flexible near home. Overall good experience in Tax field. 

Pros:
- Know about personal tax knowledge
- Work with clients

Cons:
- 3 weeks of training paid with half of the minimum wage per hour
- The management team told us to pretend like an experienced professional 
- Work environment can be toxic depending on your assigned location.
