Solotech

A typical day for me is spent communicating with clients in order to help them bring their ideas to fruition. Our goal is to fulfill the needs of our clients without compromising the quality of products and services we deliver. While many of our clients have a clear vision for their designs, we have others that need Solotech to help facilitate a design that suits their needs. 

What I have learned here is that we are fluid. Every day brings a new challenge or adventure. This keeps the mind fresh and open to change. Our industry is experiencing unparalleled growth in the technologies we deliver. It seems our manufactures are evolving their products in ways that are ahead of the curve rather than chasing the flavor of the day. 

Our management team has a clear vision for the future. They are proactive and skilled in the art of helping their team members achieve optimal results. 

The culture here is all about improving how we deliver our services. We have a unique group of individuals that have passion for working in a team environment. Creativity and vision are rewarded.

The hardest part of the job was/is learning the processes and programs as we are in a time of change and evolution. We changed the way we process quotes, orders and proposals recently. As we move through these new systems and find flaws or more efficient ways to process information, our IT team works with the software developers to mold these products to help match our needs and expectations. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the end product. What we deliver is excellence. To see and/or hear those results in a real world application is often breath taking. There’s nothing better than exceeding the expectations of our clients and the end users. 

Solotech has been a place where I have been able to develop myself as individual as well as a professional. I started as an intern and quickly found the support and opportunities to grow within the organization. The industry is exciting, and the projects we carry through make me proud to work at Solotech. 

Since the company has been growing rapidly there are a lot of projects to work on and systems to develop which can be a little challenging but as we progress we feel the impact of our initiatives and celebrate our wins as a team. In my experience I have not only a found a place to work, but a community of quality people. 

Thanks to multiple initiatives within the company we exchange ideas, we learn together, we eat together and even we work out together. Until now, I have truly enjoyed my time working at Solotech. 

Solotech is a great place to work! I really enjoy collaborating with other passionate individuals. The projects are stimulating and I really feel like I can contribute and grow professionally. Over the past few years, Solotech has bonified it's offer and continues to expand while keeping its employees at the heart of its decisions. 

I also love the confidence that the managers have in their staff. There is a great work/life balance and an amazing work culture. We are serious about what we do, but don't take ourselves too seriously!

The AV industry is crazy busy, there are never enough resources for all the work. Solotech provides many opportunities for advancement, it's a fast pace environment.
Pay is good, benefits are really nice, not many employers today have gyms, gaming rooms, jam rooms and full size cafeterias with hot/cold meals.
Great social ambiance, people here like to get along, they like to have a good laugh, and there is a genuine team spirit that is positive.
Is it perfect? no.
Is it a good place to work and grow? definitely.


Solotech is a great company to work at. I started in the operation department and I had the opportunity to transfer to the recruitment team. My proximity with both department was very important to management as they always try to see everyone's perspective and to improve. Also the company's values are great and I always like to they that with the right attitude and mindset you can go far at Solotech without needing to be in competition with your colleagues.

Good company based out of Montreal in an exciting and busy industry. Challenging projects and fast paced environment.
But local management team ruined the work environments with poor decisions and lazy recruiting choices. The local office was shut down due to the poor performance of the management. I would recommend working for this company if the local management team was different.

I learned how to servicing and maintenance of working materials, Calibration of instruments and Oil & Gas production technology  The hardest part of the work is during emergency from any Oil drilling companies despite the time you must report. The risk part of the job is during pressure testing of flow line you need be very careful to avoid pressure explosion. The enjoyable part of the job is traveling and moving from one company to another for their Maintenance 

Fun place to work that is at times very fast paced.  Warehouse employees work well together, supervisors are close with subordinates and expect honesty and communication.
Physically demanding job with sometimes varying deadlines and occasional late nights/weekends.
Cannot speak for the corporate/office workers in the company.

It seems solotech does not support, or even care to organize their jobs for a seamless workflow.  They always have a reason/excuse as to why they can’t get materials needed or drawings to the site until the last minute.  Many of the lead integrators get stressed very easily and project it onto their team causing a very high turnover rate for employees.  Moreover, growing and furthering yourself is impossible.  It is however a great stepping stone .

Overall, I am very thankful for the opportunity I have to be a part of this company. I enjoy the people I am working with, and I am excited about the projects that I am involved in. I look forward to being a part of building processes and teams that continue to grow Solotech.
