I am currently here as a Temp. I've pursued a full time position however, it is not working out. 
On the plus side; Management is great and really listen to you, flexibility is amazing (even though I am a temp they still accommodated me to be able to work from home during this time), general respect between everyone is noticeable, they enjoy fun things like Pot Lucks every once in a while so there is a culture! 
HR is great as well, they ensured me of anything that arose and made me feel at ease. Constant updates on how to better flatten the curve is always coming in.
For the actual job it will vary, however, my job has a level of autonomy that  you just don't see in most companies, the word micromanagement means nothing here. Your supervisor/manager will trust you to do the job and do it right. 
Still trying to pursue a career here but that is the only down side to this all is that even after being here 7 months, I am still a temp from the temp agency.

Very irresponsible and cold hearted management
Old man in HR is senseless. He is doing no good as a human being. I don't understand how do these people see themselves in mirror and what values will they teach their children. Total waste on this planet and ruining people's life.
People are so so fake especially the director. What a fake person man !
They give false promises and stab a knife in your back with a smile of their ugly face.
Immature management who does not have the balls to say it on the face.
Very very bad human beings per se. Should have rather been born as dogs as they don't understand it is not a joke to hurt an employee. He also has a family to feed and take care of.
No one cares about the other person and there will be no understanding in times of need.
Very bad political corporate culture 
Please don't even think of joining this company, if you wish good for yourself !

I was employed by Sonepar Ontario division for a short period of time, as was the person before me. The employment turnover rate for the purchasing/inventory team is quite high at the Brampton head office. 
The culture is of a smaller company, however there is a lot of politics, gossip and emotional management. There is very little flexibility in the workplace. I did not have a positive experience and feel that the management will continue to suffer due to the micromanagement, inflexibility and bulling that takes place.

Great, accommodating hours, good co-workers and staff. Management is always willing to help and plan for your future. I enjoy the people I work with and the atmosphere in which I work. 
I've learned good time management and how to better plan my day and manage projects.

The company is trying very hard at a global and national level to implement top level corporate structures.  This does not always filter down to the regional and local level.  It is improving. Good benefits and good people.  Regional leadership is inconsistent and lacks vision. Will be interesting to see what it looks like in 10 years.

lost of pressure from management unrealistic work load on most employees.  Staff ends up working over their hours 8:00 to 4:00
High turn over and highly stressful environment
Inability to take time off for vacation due to work load demands

The headoffice of Sonepar Ontario is small. Finance just has 3 employees. There is not a lot of opportunities for the employee to progress well.

no time for lunch or break, no disciple or any reprimand for employee that are always late so other co-workers need to compensate.

The good employees get no incentive for the hard work done even dough I tried fighting for them.

If you had a great manager, it really contribute greatly to your career growth, no matter what job you had, or wherever you worked. I had two amazing female bosses. I'm grateful for the experience working with them.
