When applying and being hired, you will be told they offer “competitive wages”, which isn’t true. The amount you will be driving around to clients homes, cleaning up bodily fluids and dealing with behaviours, etc., we should be paid a lot more than we do. Some clients require 24/7 help and assistance there are many days I would go without eating because the client was always needing something, and if you’re not able to go to them immediately, (for some of them) they will get angry or hurt themselves. On that note, a majority of clients have serious behaviour issues. And when you will inevitably get hit or attacked, there is no intervention from management. You will be treated as if you just can’t do your job correctly. 
Employees and middle management who have been at this company for longer are cliquey and gossipy. They are standoffish and sometimes mean to new hires and don’t make them feel welcome AT ALL. The hours you will get will be awful. You will be running around constantly every week and weekend just to be able to get 35 hours a week. 
There is minimal communication with middle management and others on a clients team, which causes confusion and drama. Senior employees will act like they know better than you, but will act annoyed when you act for help and clarification. It’ll be their way or the highway in most situations. 

This company is always so short-staffed, turnover is very high, yet nothing is done to change anything. Only high stress levels, and low wages at this company. 

A typical day at work is pretty boring, when the shift starts we get to cleaning, starting with the kitchen and main dining areas, we would mix different chemicals for the floors and dishes, we learned how to multi-task, by doing laundry, cleanup and setup in one shift, the faster youre done cleaning, the easier it is to set up. Our manager was friendly, but strict and stern when we didnt get the job done. The workplace was a great place, i felt comfortable while working. Hardest part of the job was trying to make sure the pavilion was clean and set up for the event before the event starts! The most enjoyable part of the job was when we got to take part in the events we set up for!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great place to work, and our clients they are awesome individuals. Come see for yourself I can’t imagine not working in this field it’s very rewarding.

If you are someone who gets stressed out over silly stuff then this work is not for you . But tell me what job isn’t stressful at some point.

We are a diverse community that works well together

It can be very busy but I rather have it busy then not

Love working with the individuals, but hard to work as a team as you never really cross over with staff, lacking middle management skills with team meetings and the knowledge for direct changes for individuals and education. Lack of leadership and movement opportunities within the company due favouritism on who’s liked and not liked within the middle management. Very gossipy  within the middle management also

After maternity leave they withheld 2 contracts of mine and wouldn’t give them back. After 6 months of arguing woman’s rights I finally just quit. It takes an extremely long time to build up your contracts so you have a full schedule. Few ours here few ours there, they will have you running 7 days a week just to get your hours in. KM are now paid but only if management approves and most the time they adjust the KM or just don’t pay. 

Place is terrible, middle management are bullies and constantly lie about everything.  Who you are depends on getting a shift either permanent or call in.  Too much family working together.  Individuals are neglected by Team Coordinators.  Needs a union so bad!!!   Would never have anyone in my family supported by this organization.  Portrayed as such a great place, but it’s not.

A career which I Love .... so honestly it is a way of life not a job ❤️

Pleasant Agency to work .... very accommodating.

I felt management. Was not doing enough for our clients.    As a support worker we should have been the one to talk to when there is a change for our client.we work with them an know what they need.

I really enjoyed all the people at south east grey from the secretary to the boss I miss all my friends and coworkers and the people that we helped have a decent normal life I reccomend this place to work or get support from

They are a family environment and take care of their employees and the individuals they support. They are supportive and caring to the needs of employees and pretty understanding when life happens
