This was great experince hands down for learning how a dealership works and performing a wide range of services. i learned more there then id learn ever anywhere else. the real problem is management. the general manager and service manager expect way to much from their apprentice techs to unreasonable expectations. they would tell me to push 100 hours as a second year and it was always impossible for me. i do not like to force customers to do unnecsessary services. the service advisors did that so much it was hard to keep up. another issue that came up was working saturdays on rotation. on sat if your name came up you would be there all alone with the lube tech. No journeyman supervision whatsoever. overall the techs you work with made it worth it but management needs to rethink their approach to running a dealership and repair shop.

one more thing to add: if you are a third year, prepare to work flat rate if you want to keep your job, i feel as they threaten you with flatfrate so they can save money and you basically learn nothing to help your career, you'll be the oil change person and all the big jobs go to the red seals.

Only postive to this place is the people you work with. 
Management lies about everything they possibly can to get away with saving a buck. 
Hardly any work to get 40 hours per week
Family owned and operated but could give 2 craps about their employees, treated like second class citizens cause our bank accounts arent the same. 
If your looking for advancement this isnt the place for you, they will tell you they are but it will never happen. 
If the service manager is telling you something dont believe a word he says. All talk no action! 
Management is horrible because their too cheap to pay good ones! 
Managers are always in bad moods, very hard to work for! 
And the icing on the cake!!!  You asked them for a raise after 2 WHOLE YEARS, they tell you they cant afford it. But the owner doesnt have a problem buying a new Corvette or ctsv every summer!

Make outbound calls to previous customers generate sales
Work with programs PBS and Dealer Track
Maintain a tidy and organized work environment
Build deals in PBS to fit customer budgets
Collect credit information from customers to send to finance.
Prepare paperwork for the customers file on the vehicle they are being sold
Drive to meet customers to deliver their vehicles.
Make sure vehicles have been detailed and ready for customer to pick up
Meet predetermined monthly sales goals.

I worked for south fort Chevy as a journeyman automotive Technician and was not given much hours. Any jobs I sold were given to the senior technicians and made a average of 3 hours a day. Management did not care and was never paid for my time there or had any response to my attempts to contact. STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT WORKING HERE.

Started there as a lube technician and kept getting pulled to do lot attendant work and vehicle transport. Then got yelled at by service advisors for not getting oil changes done due to being away by the service manager to do lot work. Once I brought up my benefits and my concerns, I was let go as it was “too slow” at work and too many staff. 

good job. working with new vehicles and new staff was engaging and interesting. however, disagreements within management led to hostilities within the workplace. grateful for the eventual replacement of staff after i had left.

Unfortunately all about their return on investment. It may not be intentional, but they make you feel like you're just a number. Turnover was extremely high,  which speaks for itself. 

The owners and management here are fabulous and make you feel like family. Great place to work, excellent morale and amazing support. They have numerous events throughout the year to help keep a solid team

there are some fun people to work with. Management is less than desireable. Clean place to work. Great products. Loved the job part of it. Enjoyed my customers a lot. Great people.
