What is the best part of working at the company?
The people I worked with.  but not the management like all councils they only care about themselves 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with management. Too much red tape and money wasting 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The department I work in was positive up to a point. But very poorly run

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy long hours and over managed. The staff were never given any positive feedback or praise

South Lanarkshire education department, like any other council's is under pressure from the current funding problems. However, it is still a a council who puts training at the forefront so you feel prepared for what is a very fast paced and jam-packed year.

Home caring is a rewarding but difficult job at times. SLC expected you to travel great distances between clients at your own cost, overloaded your schedule meaning you could not finish on time and were under pressure and the office staff were very unhelpful and abusive at some points!

Currently Still Employed With SLC, The Job Role I Have Can Be Fast Paced, The Management Staff Are There And Helpful, Good Training Matrix, Teamwork Can Be Alrite At Times, Pay Rate Not Enough For The Role And Workload Given, Can Be Boring, But My Personal Rate 8/10

I have worked with SLC for over a decade in various roles in a number of Services and Resources, including Education, Corporate and Environmental. I currently enjoy the benefits afforded by the availability of flexible working hours as well as being able to manage my own workload and set my own activities daily.

I like bingo I like walks good time keeper hard worker  happy to work weekends  afternoon  backshifts   I work for south  Lanarkshire council  for the 5 to 6 years I working cleaning  school s  and I was  a dinner lady who cooked food cleaned and washed up and food sever  asda  cleaning food area  canten  wash floors

You wait months to be taken on .only to find out they have put you somewhere that is impossible to get to 6 times in the one day .no consideration for people who can’t drive .they give you a run that’s 2trains & bus away & expect you to get there for 7/7.30 am .its a joke stay away from this company .

Great management,feels secure,good life balance that I never had with any other jobs before,fair pay. Relaxed atmoshere,as long as you do your job right. Lovely colleagues. I always feel supported there,they do care about your wellbeing too. I see no cons only pros. 

Like travelling back to the 80s. Outdated, inward thinking, no training, support , no opportunities to learn or develop. Crippled by beaurocracy Avoid 

Worked for the trust in leisure and culture it was riven with cronyism when it came to dristibuting hours,no inclusion no direction no training, no prospects as a zero hour employee.in short if your considering it don't
