Span medical is indeed a lovely place to work with a lot to learn from team leaders, supervisors and senior colleagues but the retainer ship arrangement with third party employee through employment agencies should be modified and made more rewarding so that incoming temporary staff can feel a sense of belonging and give their very best during the initial probation period.
The ideal of getting temporary staff through third party arrangement and discarding them despite their putting up an excellent, dedicated and loyal service to the company to be reviewed by the management going forward.
All in all SPAN MEDICALS is a wonderful, career building environment and lovely place to work in despite all it's challenges.
The management creates an ambience of love, care and togethernesss through a monthly reward system for staff by appreciating years of service, birthdays and other notable anniversaries of staff and this comes with a gift which is commendable.


Co-workers see great, made some great friends, but there can be drama for sure. Management sucks of course. They love the phrase “state of the art”. Leaks from ceiling at countless spots. One of the welding robots was made around 1995 (as per the metal plate that’s on it), the paint line has countless issues, both safety related and paint quality issues. The wash bath we use for it is rusted out, and the entire paint line is probably a good 40-50 years old…. But you hear “state of the art” a lot from upper management…

What is the best part of working at the company?
Easy work, aside from that there’s really nothing good about the place 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Showing up to work every day wondering who was gonna screw you over, management or another worker. 
This company has by far the most toxic work environment 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very poor, words can not do justice to just how bad it is there 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Weld and try to stay out of all the drama

The overall jobs here are not bad, people you work with are okay as well. Pay rates are okay, there's also benefits and profit sharing. All problems stem from management, supervisors and human resource manager, favoritism is blatantly obvious. Union isn't much help as the Reps are friendly with management. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
It was interesting! I really liked assembling their products! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Every Manager/Lead hand did things differently-a lack of communication within Management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good, co- workers were friendly & helpful 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I would go to my assigned station & assemble what was required.

Just a horrible place to work. Management and HR are extremely rude and the employee's are no better. Such a childish work environment. So many corners being cut at this company. The product they make is just garbage. Place is a disgrace to it's feild and should be embarrassed of themselves. If one of your love one's are laying in one of this campany bed's please be careful just horrible products

I liked most of the people I worked with. My supervisor was awesome. He was a really good guy. Pays not that great. I found it to be a very inappropriate workplace. The type's of things and/or behavior that happened there shouldn't happen at any job or place of employment in this day and age. 

Management taking the initiative to improve work environment.  Substantial wage increases, profit sharing, job opportunities from hourly to office positions.  They bring in lunch, company bbqs, Christmas party and fun raffle at Christmas.  Come in a do your job and you will be appreciated.

I wouldn’t say this is a dream job but it’s definitely chill and an understandable pace. A lot of cool things to do like operating robots and such. I would say this is a good stable job to have if that’s what you’re looking for. Good benefits and decent pay.

Associates are all good to work with. Good opportunities for individual to advance from the production floor to other supporting roles. Growing company still retaining a family unity feel.
