Spice Hut

Working at Spice Hut in Canmore, Alberta, was not bad at all. I never had a big problem working there since my time there, but rather everything was in order. the place does occasionally get really busy with a lot things to clean during peak times, This job provides a lot of opportunity to get lots of hours in, even overtime. The manager was chill, and level headed, he would let you handle your work without interference. The cooks were also relaxed, and chill. They would make me amazing dishes to eat from time to time, that I would eat while on shift or take home. Overall Work there was not the best, but I had a good time there. I'd recommend people to work there if you're looking to get a lot of hours or wanting staff accommodation too.

This restaurant goes through employees like crazy and it's not hard to see why. The kitchen staff sexually harass the younger servers. Employees are never paid on time. Constantly short on supplies because the owner's clearly don't care if their business looks like a joke or not.

Absolutely the worst corporate management. They undermine you and do not support you. They gossip about employees to other employees. They allow the chefs to bully, verbally/sexually harass the front of house staff.  They do not pay you on time and “forget” the provincial minimum wage.   Do yourself a favour DO NOT APPLY

Started out as a good job but as it went along it went down hill. Owner didn't know what he was doing nor did he show staff how to do things properly. Was a previous staff member showing us how to do everything.

The work at Spice Hut was straight forward and pretty easy in the kitchen, but the poor management was an issue. Never received pay on time, good luck trying to get a shift covered and no schedule flexibility 

Love working with everyone, great atmosphere. Amazing food. Hours are not the greatest if it is the only job you have. This whole review thing is a waste of time. I work there i should nit have to waste time writing a review.

The job was good but to much of gossip and drama i learned new things about cooking and cleaning  aswell as time management i the managment was alright but shouldve put someone with more experience

Pay is always late, after texting consistently there are no reply’s and employees have multiple pending paycheques. Employees are left in the dark about pay and don’t get adequate management. Do not support or apply.

I worked for spice hut in swift and it was a good place to work great food good staff . I was hoping I'd get another chance to work for them In a different province . Thank you

Pay days are a joke. Never on time and when you ask management about it the only thing they can say is "our boss doesn't like seeing his bank account go down."
