Spring Sushi

Overall I really enjoy working here, the management is very nice and very supportive of your personal life so they do have flexible hours within reason. There is a lot of standing and the need for lifting but that is the same with every restaurant/customer service jobs. Downside is that I'd have to say is that you need a lot of patients when it comes to customers as they are not always understanding that this place doesn't accept Debit or Amex (they do have ATM) or that they think that the prices are overprice (which you don't have a say in). You can make great new friends as well as learning new things that other restaurant/customer service jobs don't teach you. 

Typical day of work would be arrive there and work very long shifts. Typical shift for me is a 12 hour shift with 1 hour break in between. I learned a lot while working in this company such as how a restaurant works and customer service skills. Management is a huge problem there and I don't want to go into specifics. It's generally a nice place to work in though. Co - workers are a part of the reason why Spring sushi is such a fun workplace. I learned a lot of Japanese while working there.

I love my coworkers and my manager. We are almost like a family, especially the full-time workers since we all work together almost everyday. My managers are great and they are just like friends! Spring Sushi is a very busy restaurant and it can get very over-whelming sometimes but I love how I'm always on the go. It's a little hard dealing with customers sometimes especially when it gets busy but we were trained for customer service so it all ends well.

Good place to work at, learned to move fast on my feet. Multitask different tables. Serve drinks. Management was good flexible with my schedule. The team was fun to work with. Serves, Busssers all the way down to the dishwashers. Hardest part of the job is just holidays when it gets really busy, You have to manage tables fast.
Most enjoyable part is talking to customers and working with the other servers.

If you love the fast pace environment, sushi, and great at multitasking this is a place for you. I enjoyed working here when the team is all fun and young. But when it comes time to work everyone is doing their job productively. The only downfall, is when you leave work after a 5-hour shift, or even a 10-12 hours shift you will smell like food - sushi and deep-fried food.

There are tons of things to do,and you won’t know what time that you can off work until the manager tells you.
Some colleagues worked there several years and they think they’re better than others. I wasn’t told that I can only get my tips after 3months at the interview.Poor management

All the co-workers were very nice and hard-working

Great coworkers but forced to take a one hour to one and a half hour break if you start an earlier shift.  Management often makes the job stressful and the pay/tips are low.

Spring sushi is a very welcoming work place. The people and management are very friendly and the tasks you must be able to accomplish/learn can be messy at times but overall it was a good work experience.

Typical restaurant work setting; long hours and busy downtown environment. Front of House employees are generally like minded young Millennials or Gen Z and easy to get along with.
