Steel Technoligies Woodstock is a good place to work relaxed management is good they leave you alone if you do what your supposed to do we also get good bonus’s every pay we get a bonus the one is a attendance bonus it’s one days pay then the other pay we get the plant bonus it is usually about 300-600 depending on how much steel is cut every job in here is easy not very physical we also get a lunch every month as long as we don’t have any injuries we need people who will stick around they take good care of us we also get lots of overtime if you choose to work the overtime if you interested send your resume in 

i asked about layoffs before covid and they assured me no layoffs,3 weeks later virus hit =layed off lie#1 ,got hired back from virus worked 1 week and let go =no reason lie #2 all good benefits were clawed  back. Had 1 problem all week and the maintenance managers,bad electrical. if you like doing apprentice work at 30$/hour and watch apprentices sit back all day and do nothing this is the job for you. If you like wearing and tearing your car back and forth from cambridge to woodstock for 30$/hour this is your gig

Steel technologies has safe and productive workplace.  They have great opportunities to expand your knowledge of the industry and how to work safely. The supervisors/management are very knowledgeable and flexible and they work to make sure everyone is able to work in a comfortable environment. Everyone was very easy to get along with and had a friendly attitude to each other as well. 

Easy going job. As long as you show up to work, are safe and have some drive in your work you will be a good employee. management and supervisors will help with anything needed. They leave you alone for the most part if your job is getting done. Most employees are easy to get along with. we have great incentives i.e. safety lunches, attendance bonus, incentive bonus, great benefits and pension plan.

Great place to work no one micro managing great people to work with and very laid back as long as your work is done which as a forklift driver there was a lot of downtime until the work came off the machines then it was go go go like everywhere else bit what else was good was if your a smoker you could go out for a smoke as often as you like but again as long as your work was done.

Steel tech is a great environment to learn they always have opportunities to expand your knowledge in the industry. pay is decent and the coworkers are friendly. The supervisors are awesome they are knowledgeable, professional and really do their best to help everyone with all their issues, 

It’s a great place to start and you can use it as a stepping stone for better things.

It can be a negative environment with the staff. No real team spirit.

Great people to work with. Enjoy the industry. Benefits are excellent and the bonuses are a nice perk. Learned lots. Communication is a week spot and could use some help. 

 I stated in my interview I preferred straight afternoons. No problem. After two weeks I was told I gotta work days. Say what? Minimal training, very unprofessional. No wonder they can't find workers. 

Great place to start out if you want to learn the steel industry,  take the skills you get there and move onto a company who actually cares.
