Sterling Trucks

Worked there for 18 years. Thought I was going to retire there.  Proof that you are just a number to these big companies. We built the best truck in the corporation but that meant nothing to Daimler. Have struggled to make a living ever since they closed the doors.
Shame on you Daimler Benz

I had the opportunity to work in the Engineering department and learned how manufacturing of a product was done before it was sold and that was very interesting. I learned about prints and engineering which was fun and challenging.

worked straight  mid nights, as you did your welding you got better faster,and better workman ship,Management told how many tanks to weld we did it all good,great workers,very hot in summer working,got payed great amount of money each week I worked.Great

This was a good place to work.  I had a big part in running the full aspect of a shop including dealing with customers, ordering parts , billing etc.  A great group of people to work with

It was a great job with many benefits.  Unfortunately operations in St. Thomas were shut down and moved to the US and Mexico.  Too bad, it was a very good place to work.

I was training  to be a heavy duty mechanic.
I learned lots about the steps  to fixing trucks the right way.
 management was awesome like them all.

It was a great place to work unfortunately the Plant closed and never reopened 
However Sterling was prob best place I ever work it’s very unfortunate they never reopened

Sterling Trucks was an amazing place of work filled with on-going training 
Lots room for improvement and to learn different assembling jobs while maintaining time of hired

The most significant job in my life.
I learned to work in a big company whit 2000 coworkers .
Big salary and great benefits...I was very happy.

Had the greatest experience through work. Learned quite a lot in building trucks and providing parts. Too bad it left the country
