A great place to work but very little room for advancement. It's hard to get full time here. Getting benefits is impossible.  There's people thats been working here for 20+ years that are still trying to get full time and benefits. Management is okay. The diversity of culture could be better as it is mostly Caucasians working here. Also, when trying to apply for other jobs within the company, they will make you go through the entire interview process, then end up giving the job to someone external just so they don't have to waste time to look for someone to fill in your position. They will keep you stagnant in your current part-time position while get someone external to work a full time position with benefits. Thats how this company operate. Overall, this company is a stepping stone, but not a final destination. It will look good on your resume for the next best thing. 

Stevenson memorial has a lot of potential to becoming a great hospital. Unfortunately poor management handling will be the downfall of this place. Nurses were laid off due to lack of funding and they closed off 1-2 units. But due to shortages of nurses they would hire agency nurses that gets paid double the rate of a regular staff nurse. It doesn’t add up!! 
 Like I said poor management. The higher up needs to fire these incompetent managers!

Good work environment, smaller hospital where the staff feels like family, you really get to know everyone in all departments. 
Sometimes with part-time work the work life balance can be difficult to maintain as shifts are always needing to be picked up, it's easy to get wrapped up in working too much. 
One downside is that the hospital has not been expanded on, but the community has grown and the hospital is seeing double the patients that is it capable of seeing-- it requires an expansion and newer materials to be efficient and allow staff to reach their full potential.

Great place to work with some exceptional people. Should you complain about a long time employee or suggest new ideas, it is heard but not addressed.

I find that long time employees are given way to much power to discredit newer employees. There are a few managers that will listen and act and there are some that will just turn a blind eye.

Old employees are very set in their ways and not open to any new ideas.

Had to leave this job. I have never seen such lack of professionalism, ethics and care. It was exactly what I feared a hospital would be . Every nurse I have told my experience to is shocked . I witnessed nurses belt strap a confused elderly male to a bed naked. They memorized each others pins to avoid insulin double checks . The work environment was deplorable . Every one I met in the hiring process quit after one week of me working . 

I worked as a summer student at Stevenson Memorial Hospital. My role was to support the executive team with their hospital transformation project. It was an enriching experience as a student because there was so much to learn and there were opportunities to interact with hospital staff, to lead training sessions, and really get to know the community.

Maybe different departments are good to work in.  Not the housekeeping department.. always short staffed. Management sits in their office and staff only hear complaints never positive feedback.

If you enjoy a toxic workplace where bullying is a common occurrence and overlooked. You’ll love it there. From the minute you sign in until your shift is done, you don’t stop running and just when you think works almost over more things are added for you to complete.

Management is very approachable and professional. Made working there very enjoyable. If you have any difficulty with your work you can ask questions and  they are always willing to help you out. All the people working there seemed to be very friendly. I highly recommend this organization.

Staff are awesome to work with as a new employee, I learned so much. Despite the three month contract I would work there again in a heart beat. It may be a small hospital but it does so much for the local area!
