Moving up in the company entails either becoming a site supervisor, mobile patrol, or entering a unioned site. There are few supervisory roles, and few union sites, so career advancement is limited (this is expected from a medium size family ran business).

Pay is not high (typically around minimum wage), but for the work done it is appropriate  (security jobs are low skilled).

If a person works full time, then they will probably work either evenings or nights, so work-life balance is not great.

Given the ease of the job, it's a good job for both students and retired people, but it is not a good job to expect a career in.

I prefer this company. Everything is better about company except they don't provide insurance coverage for all sites. I like the communication facilities of this company. They response everything quickly and try to solve problems as soon as possible. 

Stinson wasn't entirely terrible. I personally didn't like waiting and waiting for the children to come to the crosswalk or the parents with young children to go get the children from school, not to mention any protective gear wasn't supplied, it had to be purchased and one item could easily take your entire paycheck.

Stinson is one of the better companies for Security in the City of London.  The management care about their employees and there are plenty of opportunities for advancement.

Just like everything else, it is what you put into it.

I just stand at a corner crossing kids across the road when the light is green but some of the corners don't have a traffic light so I had to time when i cross the kids so me or the kids don't get hit by a car.

Not the best place to work, they have next to no co tracts and the ones they do have a min wage. The politics is a whole other story they are pretty professional and dont care much for their employees

I liked this work very much; meeting people and the children. in 20 years of work I never had a problem with the parents of the children. I would do this work again if the opportunity arose but not with the current contractor. I cannot afford it.

My job is a crossing guard.  This company treats you very well the management is awesome.  I have had to quit on the spot because of illness but when I needed a job they were there to help me.  Stinson has been one of the best companies I ever worked for

Working with Stinson Security as a crossing guard for the last few years has been a good experience. The job's steady schedule was easy to work around, especially with all the pd days and holidays.
