Having co-workers whom have worked for 20,30 and 40+ years speaks for itself when wondering if it is a decent place to work.  
The pay is above any in the area, the benefits are by far competitive with other places of employment, the Management team is understanding and approachable. 
The Union is also approachable and knowledgable of any contract questions that arise.  I have worked every shift and even though it can be a bit fast paced and stressful some days it is always fun with the  residents and staff. 

It doesn't matter where one works there is always something !! But it's how you interpret the workplace. There is education you can sign up for accordingly when one is posted. Stirling Manor is a fantastic place too work we are all family here and remember we work in thier home !! The management team are fabulous and they will help you in anyway they can possible .
I'm grateful we have a union like ours they also will help where and if needed .
I work with a super great team of co-workers and management and can't wait too continue in our new build for a few more years .

It's like working in the twilight zone.  
They force out good workers, and keep bullies. Unless you suck up to management, you're going to get no where. They accuse People of doing things they haven't done, rules only apply to some and not others and good luck approaching management about concerns, you're only allowed to talk to them if you have a "solution". Place shouldn't even be allowed to operate.

Working with the  residents is the best part

The management they are not very nice or fair

Terrible  nobody  helps  Noone  and nobody  cares

Stressful   people  reporting  people  all the time

DO NOT APPLY HERE. It is the most toxic work environment that I have ever worked in. I was at Stirling Manor for over 10 years. If you have a voice they will make sure you are so miserable you end up quitting. The bullies are working for management and so is the union. And in regards to the wages, it is the lowest in starting salaries in this area. 

Busy. Great co-workers. Our opinions should matter. Workloads when short staff(s). Learned to appreciate life more. We would have fun and laugh at work

Stirling Manor is a very toxic and stressful environment, some staff are bullies to others, some staff drive new employees to quit, management does not acknowledge this and does not do anything about it. The only good thing about this place are some of the residents.

Staff and management  are easily approachable .Many special days and incentives are given to staff for their hard work .I enjoyed my employment  experience at Stirling Manor 

Great residents and fantastic staff caring for them. I work at another nursing home also and wages here are better!!! Sure, there's stressful days like at any job. We all had to deal with challenges from covid. There's many staff appreciation days..tims, pizza, subs, tacos  etc..

The staff treat your family like their family. It's a very home like environment with caring staff from all departments. Health care has been a challenge during covid but we managed to persevere and come out the other side.
