Responsible for opening/closing the store. Handling nightly deposits. Prepared weekly schedules, budgets, and productivity. Shipping/receiving of store stock/shipping product out. Visual merchandising and layout of store. Brought store to within top 10 stores in district on company development scoreboard. Received pizza parties for staff from head office for the months of June, July, and August for zero administration concerns for each of those months. Exceeded store sales to exceed company’s budgets. Brought the store from brink of failing back to highest % increase over budget within district (summer 06). Enforcing policy. Tidying the store/making sure stores tidy the next day. Answering any customer complaints/comments/questions. Responsible for training new staff. Red cross certified.

A typical day at work included organizing stock, assisting customer, and keeping the store in an orderly manner. I learned how to adapt in different situations, persistance and how to work with customers.
Management was done very well. When something was out of order and the store needed improvement, the manager would make sure that was taken care of as soon as possible. The customers were treated well and with respect. I personally found there were no hard parts of this job, only obstacles that in time I learned to overcome. The most enjoyable part of the job for me was being able to utilize my skills and learn new things.

Working at Stitches was definitely a roller coaster. There was always something new and sometimes exciting things happening. The management was phenomenal and will give you the greatest experience ever. The co-workers are fantastic, no complaints on anyone because everyone has such a great personality. The hardest part of the job would be sometimes budget wouldn't be made and that would be the low of the day but the most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that you can come into work not hating it.

Work was horrible, management was sloppy and poor and made for a grueling shift every time. Co-workers were the only thing that made it bareable for nearly 6 months! The hardest part of the job was definitely the manager and the hours. On-call is a complete joke. The most enjoyable part was the co-workers and the discount LOL.

It was fun working at Stitches. I learned how to communicate more with people and help them out when they need something. Management was great, i had fun working with my co-workers. They are nice and approachable. The hardest part of the job is when a lot of customers need help and you can't do it right away. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping the customers out whenever they need something.

Stitches, being a clothing store helped me interact with customers and co-workers on a daily basis. Taught me to use my communication and interpersonal skills to better deal with customer related issues.

I worked with this company and enjoyed everything about it. unfortuantly the company didn't resign their lease in the mall and it shut down! to this day I would tell people is this place was still open id be a lifer there!

it was a great part time and a first time job! I worked there when I was 16, they didn't over work you, or expect you to know everything right away, they were very willing to train and respected that it was your first job!

Loved working here, awesome people, awesome music playing every day, loved working in the back and taking all the clothes out and organizing them and pricing them. Loved the 10 discount as well!

Fun co workers, fun employers, great management, job is fun and fair, minimal contact with customers, no windows which is a negative, but the people make it worth it.
