Some of the staff are amazing, but the management is extremely awful. The provide barely any training or feedback, and expect you to thrive in the environment. I was given a solid 2-3 days of training (barley) and then left alone to figure things out or ask for help from other employees. The employee morale is terrible as everyone walks on eggshells afraid of being fired. They need to work on training there employees and doing what they can to help them improve rather than letting people go after a slight mistake as it happens too often. Genuinely one of the worst positions I have worked, and judging by other employee reviews I’m sure many can say the same.

Stonex definitely challenged me over the years. I feel that it made me a tougher and better person through the 7 years I have been there. I have made fantastic relationships with my colleagues. Since covid we all have had to pull together to get the job done. I've seen the owners step up in each department to help get the job done. The job is not a hand out for opportunities but if you the right person for the job and work hard you will fit right in. Don't apply if for the job if you don't want to work for a living. Apply for the job if your ready for the challenged mind set. I've worked in granite for 15 years. Its recession proof and you will make lots of money in overtime.

This has been one of the best places I have ever worked at and one that truly shows how valued you are as an employee. I started in a sales position having no knowledge of this type of work and the support, training, and direction I received was so helpful, I felt comfortable in my role within the first couple weeks. Management/supervisor always have your back and if you have a problem, they will try to solve it for you. You don't feel like just a number, you genuinely feel like it's a little work family. The owners are so great to deal with! if you have new ideas, they are happy to hear you out, a problem, you can talk to them and if you are doing a good, they will tell you.

The best part was the friendly environment. And I had the opportunity to run CNC machine 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes night shifts can be challenging.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The company is diverse, with great opportunities for everyone to learn and be who they are as person. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I wold start  work  at 7:30 am -4pm. I oppratred the CNC machine. Which reciqured cleaning and setting up for the job that would take 5-6 job for CNC machine to run.  Towards the end I would clean the machine.

The Job itself is rewarding and hard work and I had a good supervisor however coworkers were terrible and would cause a lot of drama and we didn't have enough workers to get rid of them. We didn't have enough workers because for the work that we did it does not pay well enough in my opinion. Safety was not the owner's priority and many things were unsafe and had frequent visits from health and safety.

A typical day at work involves software programming for the proper functionality of the machinery used in counter-top production. I have learned various skills in this industry, from customer interaction and satisfaction to problem-solving skill throughout the production process.The most enjoyable part of this job is the project implementation and teamwork environment.

The management team is not very approachable. Some people are more difficult to deal with than others. Loyalty and years of service do not necessarily guarantee you room for advancement and growth within the company, even after years of employment. Workload was not evenly distributed between colleagues and then you’re yearly review shows bad when you’re set up to fail in the first place.

Pay is the same as most jobs but the stress level is much higher.

 Job is simple but made complicated by under educated supervisors. 

Worked long hours, much past scheduled shift times. 

Lunches and breaks were not allowed

Employees are not treated well at all. 


Busy, lots of work that’s not divided evenly amongst sales people.  No breaks/ half hour lunch. Must work weekends with a few weekends off a year. Horrible management. Employees are treated horribly unless they go above and beyond job expectations. Poor commission structure and no bonuses.
