The only reason I am posting this is because of how things turned out. At first I absolutely loved this job and  I still like a lot of the people that work there. The good people often make up for the very select few of  unpleasant ones. Sure it can be stressful at times, especially during the super busy season(Christmas). But there is a lot of nice and supportive people in there. Some people may differ, but if your a people person like me, there’s a lot of good eggs in there. Some of which have been working there for a very long time. However, it seems that the people that have worked there for a long time seem to be mistreated. I worked there for only a short period of time and personally I found my performance pretty good, I was a picker and my average order completion rate was above average. Sure I’ve made mistakes as most people do. But I was doing my absolute best to work on my mistakes. I did my best to help everyone that seemed to need it and seemed to get along with almost everyone even the managers and owner. However, when I was working there I was going through a very difficult time regarding my personal life. So I had to take some days off so I could get my head clear so when I returned I had a clear head and could work my absolute best. There hadn’t been an issue with my days taken off or half days. But soon as it came to taking some time off to visit family out of town, it became an issue. Apparently I wasn’t allowed, even though I had given plenty of notice. Then when it came closer to the week of Christmas, the manager gave in and allowed me to take some days off. Now I get it, when your running a business you need your workers there to fill out the insane amount of orders during the season. However, when I returned, during the first week of January, a week and a half before my probation period ended. I was let go, seemingly out of nowhere. I was told it was because of my job performance, which personally I saw as above average on my good days. I even took multiple overtime days and stayed overtime on many many scheduled working days. Mainly because I felt bad for the days I have taken off or cut out early. I really enjoyed this job even with all its flaws. I cannot praise the owner enough for all his support, and I seemed to get along with the managers, but it seems something changed. And I was no longer liked. I tried my very best to be the best employee I could possible be at a extremely difficult time in my life along with the stress that the job had given me. Sure there was some drama but I had tried ironing it out the best I could, so things could run smoothly between me and that person. There are many good things working here, but also many not so good things. 

A typical work day at storm tech started with everyone in the warehouse being lead stretches by someone. After the stretches the warehouse works would head to the back of the warehouse where we unloaded a trailer if there was one or counting inventory to make sure we did not have to count as much on the actual day or returning inventory to stock. Management was not great because i asked for time off 10 months in advance and was laughed at plus i was not feeling well and had come into work and they made me feel horrible . Only a small few of my co-workers i enjoyed working with. Most of my co-workers treated me horribly like for example one through a 50 lbs box over my head for no reason or did not let me see the packing list when a shipment came in. Another co-worker screamed at me and made me feel horrible because i had left a pallet jack with a skid in the aisle. The job was not hard at all but the most enjoyable part of the job was hanging out and talking friends. They ended up laying me off because they could not pay me and this all happened after they renovated a new showroom and office space. I would not recommend this place for anyone looking for a full time career and only work here if your new to Canada

During the busy season, phone just won't stop ringing and your day will go by super fast, but in the slow season you can take long vacations and refuel/relax throughout the day.
I've learned how to work under stress, being able to work efficiently, proactively, able to multi-task and pay attention to small details. It's a great learning experience, if you can survive there through the busy winter, you can pretty much take the experience and work in any office job.
Co-workers are super friendly, chatty, caring. If you ever need help you can just shout out your question and someone beside you will always jump in to help and assist you through the challenge. 
The hardest part is being able to think on your own feet, if you can't multi-task or do 10 different things at once or have the ability to prioritize things, don't try to go for this department or this job. If you are up for the challenge and is smart then this is definitely the place to go. Great benefits, average salary, can take long vacations in the low season (summer time), and fun co-workers to joke around and hang out after work!

I have been with Stormtech for many years, and my experience has been consistently positive. It is a company built on strong values and a clear vision. What stands out most is the quality of the operations team. The employees are dedicated, passionate, and take real ownership of their work. There is a strong sense of accountability and teamwork across departments.

Over the years, I have seen the company grow steadily. Processes have improved, systems have evolved, and the leadership team has remained focused on long term success. Growth has been managed in a thoughtful way, without losing the core culture that makes the company special.

Stormtech continues to invest in people, product, and infrastructure. There is energy in the organization and a clear direction for the future. Based on what I have seen, the path ahead is exciting and full of opportunity. I am proud to be part of this journey.

I don't know where to even start with this bs company, but stay away...the managers are very disorganized and they treat you like another number..they do not respect hard working individuals who try and problem solve and make the workplace more efficient. There turn over rate is really high and they go through Temps everyday. I can't wait to report them to worksafe as for there receiving end/warehouse is a mess and very dangerous,almost illegal and i have all the pictures to prove it. a lot of politics and favoritism because half there seniority staff have been there 10 years plus and don't bother to even try and help out new employees..very toxic and it just a circus..STAY AWAY!!

I've had some good memories working here at the beginning. However as the years dragged on and business wasn't improving (closing of retail stores etc.) the true colours of management came out. With the exception of the owner, some of the people below him such as the ungrateful VP are just full of political agendas and bitterness towards us lowly employees who mostly are hard workers.
If you just want to pay your bills then apply and work here..

As a Human Resource Generalist (not from Stormtech) once told me when a company keeps hiring many Sales Representatives & Marketing people then business isn't doing great.

STAY AWAY from Stormtech!  Leadership is inexperienced and insecure, causing much confusion across teams.  Due to this, there is lots of unnecessary stress and productivity is often stunted by management's lack of vision and poor leadership skills.  Overall, the company culture is very top-down and the office environment is depressing.  The HR department is ineffective and does not support employees, and there is LOTS of gossip, bus-throwing, and general negativity.  

Loved working in heat transfer department with great team members,very kind,helpful,honest & caring.
Supervisor is great personality,always in touch with each members individually how are they with work and what they need. 
Made memories with shipping staff too,very fast working and friendly.
Permanent work will be great but I had contract due to that left my friends behind 🥲

Pros
Easy job. Great staff discount. Pretty easy on breaks. Nice manager.

Cons
Minimum wage. No room for advancement. Some staff there are not very welcoming to new hires. Also, it is part of the job to clean the staff washroom. But some of the spoiled brat female staff there refuse to do this because they said it was "too gross". So I was the only one cleaning it every week. The manager is a very nice guy but he seriously needs to discipline those spoiled brat female staff and make them clean the staff washroom.

I was a Full-time Contract Junior Accountant that time and I could say I learned a lot from my manager and co-workers. Not a single day was boring because I kept working LOL. It is an international retail company so every day is busy.
Everyone were supportive and approachable even the managers of every department.
I had a great time working at this organization.
