Great place to work for, supportive management, wonderful staff and the residents are terrific.  I will typically come in and read the communication binder, print off progress reports and read through and highlite them for important information.  I will prepare the supplies necessary for my morning program.  I will change the slider boards with the days scheduled activities.  I will facilitate and implement the programs/activities, evaluate and document programs.  Chart the activities of the residents.  Assist the staff with daily feedings and help porter the residents to and from programs.  I prepare the sliders for the next shift.  I complete assessments, and complete progress notes when necessary and I clean up afterwards and secure the office when shift ends.

Out of the three floors, 1 was always short staffed. Sometimes "Management" would make a floor short staffed to help with a full staffed floor "Because we could handle it".
They have no respect for workers and they will not have your back, and When a floor had a Covid Outbreak, Management sent a resident support aide that had been on the outbreak floor around to other floors. The Nurses sometimes helped but sometimes were very unorganized or were forced to have a messed up schedule because they were interrupted. PSW's were struggling but the best things there.

Saugeen Valley was a nice place to work. It was great getting to know who the residents are and who they used to be. The hardest part about this job would be the hours. They ran from 6:45-8am on weekdays, so I would go to work before school, and then have to go back 4-6pm. It was very tiring. All the staffing there were amazing. A bunch of great people who loved the residents and would do anything for them.

most of coworkers are great  there is no incentives to pick up extra shifts or any repercussions for people who constantly call in 

management sucks  no leadership or they dont lead by example
they dont give enough time to do a proper job always working short not enough employees 
never the proper tools to do the job

Extremely under staff and expect the little staff they do have cover regardless of if they worked all week. Managment is very unorganized and don't care for their staff. Zero appreciation for working double and triple shifts. Work 1 staff for 35 residents on the floor this is common.

No leadership or educated management at present dog eat dog atmosphere people claim to be engineers but can’t fix a blocked drain or fix a running toilet. Decisions made by silencing the squeakiest wheels instead of research of facts or consequences moving forward 

The new home is beautiful, however there are not enough PSWs to each floor - and then add short staffing on top of that. 

Didn’t feel appreciated by management. It’s a shame that a beautiful new building can’t be supported by better management.

No help from management team, always working short and understaffed. Drama and back stabbing on the floor, stressful and emotionally draining work environment.

the most hardest part of the job is working with heavy wet snow or working outside in the cold . The most enjoyable part of the job is that I really enjoy what I do there.

I miss everyone. It's a great place to work.

I worked as a manager for the facility. I had a good team I'm housekeeping. Lot of opportunities
