I enjoyed working in the pub because the environment was fun, the people I worked with were fun. However, the management and how the place is ran is complete dirt. The managers do not care about the employees at all, the owners are EXTREMELY money hungry. It is not a clean or healthy place to work for, the owner does not turn air conditioning on as to save money so the entire restaurant and pub are extremely hot, it is a health risk to be honest as well as a waitress you tip out 4% to go toward the bussing and kitchen staff. 2% goes to the bussing staff but the 2% DOES NOT go to the kitchen staff it goes straight into the owner pocket. I was verbally harassed by a customer during my shift to where he called me rude namesand asked if I was on my period, just because I asked him not to touch the broken glass on his table that I would clean up. I started crying and when my manager heard about it she wrote me up for bad customer service. I never had a complaint before that point I actually had people emailing in telling them how much they enjoyed me so I know for a fact that I was indeed not giving bad customer service

This was one of the best places I have worked. The owner was a very good boss to work for, communicative, understanding, ethical and had integrity. The staff was like family and if you work hard, are loyal and willing, you can advance well. I wore quite a few hats in my role and reported to almost every department along with trained and managed new staff in hostessing and the events. I found management and the owner very approachable and personable and would recommend anyone work here as it'll be very difficult to find an employer not only provides you every resource to do your job, but one who always has your back. That's a rare find today. 

Typical day for me was i would go in i closed upstairs most nights 
did all the closing side duties. If i was asked to come in on day off i would stay late i would. i was always helping out others. trained the new girls. only thing i did not like about this job was customers complained about someone over and over the company did nothing about it. What i loved about the job was training new employees and also getting to meet new people from all over Canada and the world.

Working here was such a great experience for me! I worked at the station for about a year, & I was lucky enough to be part of the fantastic team that makes the place so great! I was given the opportunity to experiment with a range of diversified roles within the restaurant, and the staff was so welcoming. Overall, a superb experience and I would definitely recommend the Strathmore Station to anyone who's in the midst of a job search! :)

Pretty much once you get your position, you stay there. The owner doesn't take out the taxes from your paycheck, so you have to. When the owner isn't there, he would watch the cameras and would call and tell you to get busy with something. The staff is wonderful.

a typical day at the Strathmore Station was very long. I learned there that there are certain people you can trust and that you can go to over others. I had a great group of co-workers that i enjoyed working with. One of the harder things of the job was trying to get things ready by yourself. i enjoyed having fun and laughing with my co-workers.

Management and owner are understanding and patient. It can be a tough job but if you keep your head down and get the job done you will get your pay and keep your job. 
High paced and stressful sometimes as most hospitality jobs are.

I enjoyed working here, and found everyone friendly and easy to work with. It was a very fast-paced job that kept me on my toes, and i always had something to do to keep me busy.

I enjoyed my time at the station.  Everyone I worked with including management were friendly and helpful. We all worked as a team to ensure great customer service. And it was fun there.

There was a lot of aggression between staff and management was very unprofessional. Cashing out process is convoluted. Building not up to safety code.
