Early start times. Lots of overtime at begining which was needed due to the low hourly pay. Able to install, commission, maintain and repair company equipment at customer location.  was taught all company and customer safety procedures and environmental control measures. Can now compile and submit accurate expense reports detailing times and all activities conducted. Made certain I worked in a safe manner for the operation of a 3 ton truck, and 9 ton picker for the installation of wellheads. Maintained high standards of performance in all assigned tasks.  Performed unsupervised wellhead installations of 3,000 - 10,000lb equipment, as well as operate test equipment.  Handled and was able to troubleshoot most field service issues in a highly professional manner.  Learned how to install auto and manual casing slips.  In a safely manner, operated lubricator and side entry tools.
Was promised raises in pay/ bonuses but never happened for any employee. Poor leadership by certain individuals. Spoke to managment about concerns, but nothing was ever done. Co-workers seemed to be very negative towards company/ policies, but seemed to be happy about being there. Duties were over-all fun and exciting. 
Hardest part of the job at times, was waiting in the truck for work to commence.

Worked at stream flo since 2006. Good guys to work with in the shop and field. Alot of positives, some negatives like anywhere. Company is good at keeping employees through slow times. 
Do not move up, unless your friends with management. Alot of talk but no action. Tools to do the job was like pulling teeth to get. Meetings with the group were useless, did not accomplish nothing. Hard to find management before 1030 am. If you were standing around at all, got questioned unless you were having a 🚬 than it was acceptable. Paid into social fund, but was hard pressed to get a hot dog once a year. Management used intercom more than a high school principal to talk to staff, had a hard time walking across the shop to get involved. Some people got name tags beside office door, but haven't put on a pair of coveralls in there tenure with the company
Loved the guys I worked with, could be a great company, but the buddy system doesn't allow it to happen.

Privately owned company with international presence, very diverse and unique working environment. Expected to work hard and be loyal but efforts are usually appreciated. Have many long term (25+ year) employees. Good support structure and friendly office culture.

Still evolving and growing so each day can be a bit unpredictable but also can be quite exciting, depending on the department.

Management could communicate a bit more, but that's expected at a private company. There's certainly a lot worse places you could call home, it's not perfect but I would think most people are quite proud to work this company. At the core, they do care about their employees, especially the ones that work hard and are appreciative of the opportunities that exist.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part when I was working at company when the worker are few and your co worker same before. Now a days when they replaced them and hire new supervisors lots of changes, one sided and there some politics. I always stress coz they just used thier power of thier position.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When your supervisor won't talk to you and direct you what he need. He just talk to other person for what he need. Then he will find something that you down for. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Before is good and amazing but now? Nothing to say.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typycal day is like normal always some issue of worker that always critize you.

You work really hard (hopefully), but so do your supervisors/managers. Good people and positive energy for the most part! Fair and competitive salaries...very limited lay offs over 50 plus years! If you work well as a team this is the rare Canadian company one could retire with possibly! 



Management does a poor job of hiring candidates that are either underqualified or overqualified and set them up for failure. Probation period doesn't mean anything as management has no respect for their employees. HR practically ghosts you if you aren't working for them anymore and even though they ask for feedback, they don't respond to anything. Hiring manager is rude to even the IT help desk as witnessed so can't expect them to do anything else right. They want people ready for the job and it is not a learning environment. Be prepared to get laid off.

A typical day at work would involve me to do an inspection on what i would be painting before starting. Followed by mixing paint and preparing the paint cans before painting the product. Painting and using the forklift was most of my day at work. I learned how to drive a forklift and how to do a better paint job while being at Stream Flo ind. Management was not a problem at all. Co-workers were friendly and polite. The Hardest Part was the rush trying to get everything done by my self. Most enjoyable part was driving the forklift and painting.

Even when there was a downturn in the Oil & Gas sector, the mindset of the engineering department is to take advantage of this slowdown to expand a product line, or to continuously improve existing products. The co-workers are very supportive, and the tram concept is very strong. The hardest part of the job was a typical customer's quick turnaround requirement, so one had to be very good at time management & be able to react quickly to rapidly changing events.

It's a tough job but the group I get to work with are great. Definitely don't feel like a number like some other places. They do a good job making sure you get your guaranteed hours and it's not a place that will cut you loose if times get slow. Which can't be said for a lot of other companies. It's a family owned company and that goes a long way in how the atmosphere in the branch actually feels. Really good pay too, especially if you are just starting out in the industry. They will train you up as well if you're green. Enjoying my time here so far. 

The typical day for me consisted with a tool box meeting, grabbing orders, assembling the well heads and then hydro testing them. 

I did learn how to use a forklift (from other employees not the company itself). 

The management was unprofessional, lazy and did not care about you at all. 

The culture was lacking and everyone there was more or less in their own group. 

The hardest part of the job was having to deal with such useless managers. 

I enjoyed the guys I worked with and getting to build and test well heads.
