Worked directly with the commissioning team performing pre start checks on VFD's, MCC switchgear, and field devices using EL, and LV sources. This included Rotation checks, verifying 	points between PLC and Field were correct, and completing appropriate commissioning point sheets. 

•  Instructed and advised electrical technicians with technical direction regarding engineering, vendor, and construction deficiencies. 

•   Assisted RDR and Pembina in start-up (Energization) activities for low and high voltage systems. 

•  Routinely Spoke with Field Safety officers to ensure compliance with all OHS and client safety protocols and procedures were being observed and properly followed. 

•  Assurance of required permitting, isolations, zero energy states and full compliance with Project Team and Area Safe Working practices, methods and processes including JSA's / FLRA's / Toolbox talks etc.

Camp work isn't for the faint of heart,it tests the strongest of individuals. I have learned a lot and continue to grow within the Studon family, which is exactly what it is..Family. They pride them selves as leaders when it comes to managing both small and large scale projects. My colleges are great, communication is key and very strong with this group. Field staff are very approachable and attentive to individual worker needs. I take pride in what i do and the level of support I get from the field staff, as well as the opportunities for further advancement.

Typical day is 10 hours and sometimes going to 12 hour. The company offers allot of overtime but working all those hours your will have no social life. Working for this company you also get to start working from bottom up and it also depend on who you know. I guess the most enjoyable part of the company are the people you work with they are fun , outgoing and easy to work with. There are rare cases where you get to work with someone dumb or get a bad supervisor but that doesn't last since your get to do different task everyday or every week.

Studon helped me with kick starting my Career as an instrument tech. They taught me a lot in my field from Construction, Commissioning and Maintenance. The management was always good to me. The hardest part of the job for me was working away from home all the time but that has changed as i have matured and realized my life goals. The most enjoyable part of the job was always the people they had me working with, kind genuine people that made you want to get up every morning for work even though you're away from home.

Travel too and from site in the planes and too and from the camp to site

Busy from start to finish not a lot of down time

Excellent supervision with a strong regards towards safety, Management and co-workers are excellent to work with and take pride in their work. Very efficient and meet deadlines on time.
The hardest part of the job was getting cooperate safety to get on board with a progressive disciplinary policy and most enjoyable are the facilities in which we were housed, the food, and the people I have work with

Overall, Studon is a great company to work for. The culture and mantra of the company are amazing. This stems from the CEO and trickles down to the craft. Management for the most part, in the office, is very hands on, approachable and willing to listen to concerns and constructive criticism.

Receive products and check with purchase order
Maintain tracking binders for each job code

Organize equipment rentals for site and maintenance records
I work in a fast paced environment and have to make decisions quickly and efficiently, planning ahead is necessary in this profession . Mostly great people who become your extended family.

Everyday starts with a toolbox talk including tasks that are being done that day and any safety related topics followed by a stretch. Everyone is encouraged to fill out a hazard ID as in an effort to mitigate or eliminate hazards on site. 
The hardest part of the job can be to avoid distractions and staying focused on the task at hand. These areas are helped by filling out a Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLHA).

12-14 hour/day enjoyed working with colleagues small group of four given monthly job description of new installations and calibrations of equipment needed. Any issues which arose from existing equipment to be repaired/replaced. Report to foreman at the end of work done daily.
