Each day at Mental Health Intake requires me to rise to meet new challenges in order to find assistance and treatment for my clients.  I've learned that surrounding the client with as many options for resources generally is the best way to assist them.  In order to do so, I am always on the look-out for new resources in the community for clients to access.  Management provides me with the support needed, but does not micromanage each step of my job.  On the contrary, I am free to develop new means to assist clients, such as starting a new "single session clinic" to meet clients sooner as assess their needs.  The hardest part of the job is managing muliple contacts with numerous clients, consulting other professionals, and securing additional resources in a timely fashion.  Many times, it just seems as though there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done that I need to.  However, once those connections are made and my clients are connected with the appropriate program, there is satisfaction in knowing that I met their needs.

A typical day at work was very busy . Working with alziemer residents can be very challenging at times. I enjoyed working with them you can,t be scard of them. I learned how to work in a invironment that you have to be fast, also to be very careing towards patients. The co-workers were usually good ones the full time staff was always nice to have because the residents knew us the best. They went crazy usually when its someone they don't know.It was a very fun place to work at nobody really didn't get along.There is usually always drama no matter where you work but just don't get envolved if it doesn't concern you then its all good!!

I would learn something new everyday i worked. i didn't know there was so much to learn about semi-trucks and logging equipment. The Management was really good because they are my parents, But even if they weren't i would say they are great people to work for and very understanding. The hardest part about this job was defiantly that everything had to be perfect so that when they where out on the road they weren't harming them selves or others. The most enjoyable part about this job is that it was always hands on and i got to work with tools that normal people never get to see.

It has been a rewarding experience working in the Sun Country Health District. My husband has obtained new employment and I am hoping to find something new and exciting in the LeRoy area. I had the pleasure of meeting the folks of this community, quite a few of which work at the health center. None of the departments I work in present any obstacles, I am very comfortable in all three. The most enjoyable part is definitely the residents. Management is a pleasure to deal with, and effective, I have not witnessed any derogatory behavior or remarks from staff in regards to management since my hire.

I worked for sun county for over 20 years.  I moved from kitchen, to aide, to housekeeping and finally activities. where ever a ft job was available. Serveral times hours or even the entire position was cut! This seemed to happen just when i felt perhaps i was in a secure position. I loved my job but did not care for the politics of the job. I was told the job title was being changed and i would have to take additional education tostay in myposition. additional education to stay

I find Sun Country to be a positive work environment, good benefits and pension plan; they adhere to a no bullying in the workplace environment (CUPE enforced) which you don't see unfortunately in a lot of places.  There is room for advancement and education funding.  Cant say anything bad about it.  I would recommend working for Sun Country

answered service calls, booked appointments for vehicle maintenance / repair, completed work orders, assisted customers, explained work that needed to be done to customers, took payments, prepared warranty work orders.

My job at Sun Country was everything from maintenance to renovations to furnishing apartment suites. Traveling anywhere from Red Deer to Calgary or to Edmonton or anywhere in Alberta moving furniture.

Love working there people were awesome, miss staff, most made it fun and very easy to work there, shifts were awesome, not to many weekends, awesome pay and sick days and also when got called in on days off could bank it or take pay and same for stat

staff very friendly and great to work with.

Management had many challenges which decreased ability for good leadership.
