Sun-Rype is a Juice and Fruit snack company based in Kelowna, BC with a small sales office in Markham, ON.

In the Ontario office the team arrives between 9 and 9:15AM. It's a small office but people stay to themselves. It's QUIET. Plan on going out for lunch. There are few meetings and the BC head office could keep you there late due to time zone difference. The BC office is returning from lunch about the time the Ontario office is wrapping up so expect those afternoon telephone calls...if in Markham office.

The average age of the Ontario staff is "young". The experience of the staff matches their age. If you are a seasoned sales or category management person you may want to pass on this environment.

The senior management (VP's and Marketing Directors) in BC are outstanding. The computer and information systems are outstanding as well. Really impressed with the Kelowna I.T. staff. Top notch.

If you would like a JOB with a company with small shares in Ontario and lots of potential to grow...Sun-Rype is for you. It's not a Tier One but could be a start to a career in CPG.

If you want a CAREER, you will want to pass. The Ontario office is a bit of a "revolving door" and job security is always in question with small shares and missed sales goals being the norm.

However the PRODUCT is GREAT. Sun-Rype juice products are very tasty!

Sun-Rype Products is definitely an icon in the Okanagan region and has been for over 60 years.  There is a sense of pride connected with this for any employee. There are not many companies in Canada with such history and innovation.

There is a sense of personal gratification and pride that comes from working with such an establishment and I hope to continue my employment with them as long as I can because of this.

Variety of departments you are scheduled in outside of your posting so change up is nice
Scheduled on 3 different shifts and CAN change mid week
Nice only mon to fri but lots of opportunities for OT
With it being possible to be scheduled a shift change any given day very hard to make appointments or plans only main downfall
Wages awesome and great benefit package

i worked for sunrype they hired me as package operator and they gave me only two days training and put on actual shifts on next week. After that, almost one month was complete they gave me 3 day training and week after that they terminated me without giving specific reasons. there are old employees hates when new employees comes in . they always find the ways to let new worker down . they have only one purpose to do that to gaining more respect in the eyes of managers.

Fun work atmosphere, busy schedule but relaxed setting. Nice coworkers and Management.
I was able to work independently but with directly when desired. I left this employer when I had to opportunity to move to Kelowna, BC to work for Sunrype

Disrespectfull of family life of its workers. 
Overtime is demanded with " NO EXCEPTIONS"
Absenty program, if absent for 3 days a month you are put on their program, possible firing if not corrected.
Being late reporting for work because of poeer outage, is not tolerated.

Busy food & beverage company with a pleasant variety of quality products. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and management and hard working bargaining unit employees.

There is always innovative new products and processes being researched and developed to meet consumer trends.

Excellent company I worked at for 3 years.

Very negative environment with very little rewards for hard work. The facility is old and work conditions are either extremely warm or extremely cold. Most employees are long term and remember a better time.

bulling, poor management, HR lets the bulling happen, pick on people, forced over time. Over all poor place to work  unless your a rat or can handle BS with poor management, HR and bouncing shifts.
