During my tenure with Sunny Corner on the Point Lepreau refurbishment I have worked with some of the finest people to date in my career. We worked more as a team than a hierachy, which developed respect and mutual support between the project managment team. The site itself was more or less run as an island with minimum involvment from head office, unless needed. The project offered a wide variety of technical and customer related challanges which were addressed and overcome to the satisfaction of all parties. For me the project meant a lot of time spent away from my young family while at the same time allowed me to work with a great project team

I was employed with Sunny Corner during the refurbishment of NB Power only nuclear reactor at Pt. Lepreau. My role was varied - holding permits for the conventional side of the work. I was also" Yellow badged" which meant I could scan and check materials leaving site for any contamination which kept me busy. As a permit holder you were responsible to ensure that the work was being carried out in a safe manner. I also tracked costs providing NB Power with information and reasons for cost over runs.

I am certified Level 1 welding inspector, and block 1 welder. My main focus is on inspection, and welding when work is slower. I have experience in blueprint reading, Microsoft excel and word. Good hands on skills, and working in fast- paced environment. Co-workers on the floor, have good  knowledge and willingness to help/learn. The harder part of the job is meeting tight deadlines for projects. I enjoy the different projects, jobs which bring new challenges.

I enjoyed being part of a historical project and my day was spent working in the field , managing cost control and reports to the client.I was classified as a " yellow badge" for radiation so I could work as a protection assistant or scan materials for contamination before it would be allowed to leave the plant

great company to work for. work a scheduled shift ( 14 on 7 off) so you can plan to do things with friends and family on days off. Great pay, great jobs. something new everyday. one day your welding, next day fitting following day rigging.

Good job and working conditions. Management made it a very poor atmosphere because of there attitude towards workers and there was a lot of favouritism.

A very proactive company to work for. There were many opportunities that were given for improvement and learning. The management is very approachable and were always there to back their employees. A very close knit company that treats all employees that work for them with much respect.

The fab shop was the most filthy, disorganized place I've ever had the misfortune of working. They lied about the wage and advancement opportunities from the start. The tolerances are high but you're given cave man level tools to achieve the level of quality expected. I'm surprised they're even in business

Great company to work for and excellent management. Easy to communicate with the management. Great schedules when working away from home. My only disappointment is that they don`t have enough work or contracts to keep me working full time.

Sunny Corner was a decent company to work for. The pay was good and the management were easy to deal with. I would work for them again if given the opportunity.
